Lol, told you guys that the average football fan (aka the readers of Sport/EMD) just want to sign a big name, and Vermaelen is considered one of the big names

If you go there, 99% of those readers seem to think that Hummels is the perfect fit for Barca, while here the opinions are a lot more divided (as already has been pointed out countlessly, lots of people think putting Pique and Hummels would be suicidal against fast counter-attackers like RM and co)
