Yes, in average form he is one of the best RBs in Europe. Top 10 without a doubt. As for the injuries you also have to consider that Dortmund players are forced to run a gazillion times more than your average player due to Klopp's system. So it is only natural for them to be injured a little more than the rest. Last season was proof of that.

Also I have issues seeing Bravo and Mathieu as "quality signings" when Piszczek is not.

His injury issues were related to his hip issues primarily. But he's had surgery last summer to fix that.

Exactly. He only missed so many games last season because of his hip surgery in the offseason.

Thats my reference as well. I misread the data as the time out listed(jun-nov) is under the 12/13 season, when it should be 13/14. So I took them to be separate injuries. My bad.
Still, the rumoured number is way too much for his age. We could get try getting someone younger for a li'l more than that.

expecially when u can get a young guy like descligio for around that amount,if it because we will be left with Montoya alone when valves contract expire then getting a young rb is the way to go and I am sure there are a lot of right back that would not cost up to that amount

Are they just running with the original rumor, like with the Titus Bramble hoax, or is there something else to it?

I should be clear: I don't want Barça to sell Piqué. I think he's world-class. but my source tells me the board disagree.
