LoL. Fool. You forgot Lord Bendtner.

Naturally he's excluded from all such discussions to give other players a fair chance. And to not insult the Lord by comparing him to the lesser beings that all other players are.

Damn that Zubi. He could have been our new Maxi Lopez

Fool. We are not worthy of Lord Bendtner. We already have Lord Douglas, him and Lord Bendtner in the same team would make the universe implode.

I'm satisfied with the window. We may not have landed a star centre back but today there are very few world class CB's. I rate Mathieu highly and his age doesn't bother me,we'll get 2 solid seasons out of him and then we can look into the market again. Vermalen injury free could also be a top top player.

80 million for a 27 year old forward is pretty ridiculous money but we now finally have a second deadly finisher, I was sick of having Neymar and Sanchez to back up Messi in the goalscoring department as they are too inconsistent in front of goal. Suarez also seem like a player who will age well.

The only signings that I'm unsure of are Douglas and Bravo. Personally I feel Alves is fine for now as right back....oh and I should mention that the Deulofeu loan is one I can't really get behind. I would like him on the bench but I guess Lucho feels he needs another season to learn his trade.

A few years ago it would have been absolutely ridiculous, but considering Di Maria (who's only a year younger) went for 75m (+ 15m variables) it's actually a good price.

Have you not seen Bravo much at Real Sociedad? Good keeper.

Deulofeu is clearly not ready.

Exactly. And Suarez is probably the 3rd best player in the world with Zlatan.

To my mind Mathieu is a worry .... he had a nightmare the other day I thought , his defences clearances were nightmarish and Ossie Ardiles even highlighted his ineptitude . Agger went for 3 million and we missed out on Mangala and Benatia as well ....

We also KEPT Pedro but sold Tello and loaned out Deulofeu weeks after Martinez predicted that THIS wouid be his breakthrough season ..

Ossie Ardiles is a muppet. Don't listen to him. And how can we miss out on players that we didn't try to sign?

He's a solid shot stopper but his ability to play with the ball at his feet is worrying. Playing in goal at Barca is quite different to many teams.

A couple of bad clearances is nothing to worry about yet, he just needs some more composure in the box.

I am not that satisfied with transfer window but it would be too selfish to ask for a perfect transfer window. If i am honest our defense is still bad. RB position mainly and 2 CB are not that great. Mathieu is good but not great. I have a feeling that he will fail in one-one's. Vermaelen may never play and we keep playing Masch instead of bartra for some unknown reason and pique might do a pique in some match. If alba also gets injured like last season our defense is bellow average. But i think lucho can work something out at least i hope.

Midfield is good but obviously no where near Xavi-Iniesta-Busi but i don't think any player can emulate it. Rakitic is a great addition but he still has a lot to prove at barca. Maybe halfway through the season we can judge properly. I hope Rafinha steps up otherwise we would be too limited in depth with old xavi as our only backup and oh! sergi. I really think he will be a great player but not at barca. He is not an ideal player for us.

Coming to attack we definitely got one of the best forwards maybe in top 3 too. I have high hopes for Neymar-Messi-Suarez but everyone plays best when they are played centrally and everyone is a ball playing forward. They do stuff unbelievable stuff but they need to have more of the ball. At least Suarez has a work rate so not that bad and we will have most of possession to keep our forwards happy. And if we want the 3 forwards play more centrally our fullbacks must be great but our RB position is very average. At least in this section Rakitic is the ideal player for us. An industrious midfielder who is equally good in AM and DM. Vidal might be the only one i would have preferred over Rakitic.

Goalkeepers almost perfect. Bravo is not that great but he is good with the ball. So no worries. Will be a great backup. Better than pinto.

But my biggest concern is RB position. The quality is no where near what barca want. And with transfer ban it is even harder to accept it. Rest all i believe in lucho to bring the best out of everyone.

I would rate our transfer season as B. If Vermi can get to his previous form it will be A-

After the team went into its coma last spring, the roster had to be changed a lot. This has now been done, at least the team has showed guts in making the attempt.

Cesc and Alexis were the important players jettisoned. This should be good for both of them, they will do better in other systems. Barca received very fine money for both. Should more core players have left? Xavi has been demoted, I expect him to leave this winter. Alves has new competition within the team.

Mathieu has excellent speed and quickness, these are much more important on the Barca back line than for other teams. And he is big and strong, greatly needed on this team. No, he does not pass or dribble as well as, say, Pique, we'll see how this develops.

Rakitic really changes this team, he is truly a box to box player. Rak will look better paired with Iniesta than he does with Rafinha.

For the keepers, one thing for certain is that the #2 is much better than in recent years. I certainly don't expect either one to be as good a Barca keeper as Valdes, but maybe the falloff will be minimal.

Gotta like the new youngsters in Rafinha, Munir and Sandro. They can all contribute already, it will be fun to watch them improve.

Suarez is the big plunge, the big gamble. Messidependencia will have to decrease due to Suarez's enormous scoring threat.
