Iniesta is injury prone and it's only going to get worse with him, he might become bench player next year solely for this reason. That means you can rely only on Turan and Rakitic. Raktic looked quite average lately, Turan is unproven in our system so far. Halilovic is more an AM/backup for Messi than true CM candidate. And D.Suarez is talented, but still not good enough for Barca.

CBs can still play on high level after 30. Very few forwards can do the same. 18M fee is not much, but if Celta doesn't want to sell him we would have to pay taxes too. So it's really more like 25M.

We can't spend 40-50M for the 4th attacker, plus, he will warm the bench all the time.
Also, at least for me, Munir, Sandro, Tello, Halil aren't serious options currently for Barca.

So, buying an old (cheap, experienced) Cf for 1-2 Seasons isn't exactly as funny as most of people commented here.

I would much rather see us get someone like Sofiane Boufal from Lille who can play on both the left and right wing, 22 years old, and who can actually pose a threat and still not demand to play all the time rather than buying someone much worse than Boufal like Kuyt, Luca Toni, Teddy Sheringham or Klose.

He is not left attacking midfielder. Look at his highlights. He operates on right or center almost never on left. In our system he'd likely be just a backup for Messi for this reason. They occupy the same space on pitch.

Rafinha was very solid for 4th option .Iniesta is still reliable for starter and Arda and Rakitic are very reliable options .again Arda will have jave 5 months to prove himself b4 summer
Alen has been clearly AM in Gijon ,that is where he excels .still need to develop to be Barca Material but if we need 5th or 6th option in those positions .we don't use a true CM right now anyway so O am not sure him not being a CM will be a problem
A lot of things will be more clear by summer tbh ,with the ban and injuries it is easy to feel we need so many players .the development of our players and how Arda/Vidal fits the team will be decisive in our team need .right now all the talking is very premature
