Federico Fazio of Sevilla is being monitored by Barcelona. 27, 1.95m tall, 2008 gold medal winner with Argentina, has a 10m buyout cluse in his contract. Accroding to SPORT.

Fazio would be an intriguing player to add to the mix although not sure he is the ideal passer from the back

Hell yeah, the guy who gut punched Diego Costa in their game last week. Brings some tenacity to our team.

If Barca buys Fazio for 10 million, it will be the most underpaid transfer of all time, considering the benefits of getting one of the best CB's in La Liga and Europa League.

It is a huge shame that teams like Sevilla cannot put a stop to transfers like these or threaten to "buy Messi" like the PSG president, just because the TV revenue mess, that is created by Barca and Madrid alone, and is single-handedly KILLING La Liga.

Teams like Sevilla or Valencia still gain more from TV revenue than they would in other countries. The ones who get very little money are the mid-table teams and below. Plus, saying Barça and Madrid are killing La Liga is laughable; if anyone is, it's the LFP. Barça even expressed their willingness to change to a fairer system.

Fazio, Mustachhio? Forget Argie defenders they are not reliable. We already have Masch :)

Such nonsense. Maybe you've never heard of players who are considered among the best defenders in the history of football, like Javier Zanetti or Daniel Passarella or Roberto Ayala or Oscar Ruggeri?
Or maybe other great defensive minded midfielders like Cambiasso, our own Mascherano, Atletis Diego Simeone?

Argentina now have shaky defense, but historically they've always been known for tough, no nonsense, hard defense.

Both Fazio and Musacchio would be very good additions. Musacchio with more upside because of age, Fazio the one more ready to be heavily depended on now.

Here's a comparison between Musacchio and Fazio:

Musacchio I've only seen against us the one time but he lacks the speed or ball skills, IMO, to be a valuable rotation player for us...He could improve in that regard but Fazio I've seen more of and while he too is not a fantastic passer, is a better defender and aerial threat...But again, this is just my view
