Yes, but I don't think playing style overrules playing time at that age. Mere has played (nearly) double the minutes Lemos has this season (all included) and played at least as good as Lemos. That is more important when judging them than team-tactics and -approach at that age, IMO.

You are making good points but ...
1- I am not arguing who is better ,really didn't pay attention to Mere that much and knew Lemos name yesterday .
2-Fit is also important , ability to play highline defense is important .it need either very talented smart defender ,and/or a guy with gr8 physical profile (gr8 height and long legs like Pique/Mathieu or gr8 speed & aggressiveness like Mascherano/Puyol)
Bartra for example has decent but not so gr8 height ,and not slow .but he is the 5th choice CB here
From what I read Lemos is very athletic ,which might be the reason we could go after him .Mere? again I don't know about him at all so that is why I am asking

Thiago Silva was a shitty cb for the Russian league. I wouldn't count on their thoughts on Lemos. RPL playstyle isn't like here.

I'd try both Mere and Lemos this summer. Ship out Bartra and Vermaelen. Just to disperse the risks a bit. Besides we could give them a Barca B contract too so the one who doesn't hit it off could get gametime from there.

I think if any of them is signed he will be loaned back to his club and one more reliable CB like Mustafi will be signed.
Also I am not sure I would go for both.Tarin is doing very well with Barca B and he is as old as them .so sign 1 and we have 2 gr8 prospects for future CB along a relatively young CB like Mustafi

According to SPORT Luis Helguera, Las Palmas sporting director is in Barcelona. they claim he's not there to talk about Lemos but for other issues.

Sport also wrote Sources from Barcelona and Las Palmas have said that the idea of including any players to reduce the cost of the deal is not going to happen.

I am actually worried about that news too in a serious way .it could actulaly mean we aren't in the market for young established CB since they cost a lot of money and may settle with our choices .don't know though

I think and hope they mean more experienced than a guy with 8 la liga games and not Vermealen and Mathieu 2.0. We have enough of those. I agree with that. We shouldnt count on someone like Lemos only next season. We need players in the mould of Mustafi, Umtiti or Fabinho. Players who are still young but have played at a high level for quite some time now and are realistic.
