If something along these lines would be the case, I could live with it... LB backup with Mathieu until January, RB with Sergi & Vidal.

OUT: Dani, Sandro, Adriano (~5m), Montyoa (~4m), Vermaelen (~8m), Tello (~8m), Bartra (~8m) = 33 m €
IN: Denis Suarez (~5m), Vietto (~20m), Rodri (promotion), Marquinhos (~50m) = 75m €

I hadn't thought about it from this angle. It is quite absurd. Something's really wrong with the way Barça do business.

Great, if we do not plan to buy RB this summer than we will have to rely entire season on Aleix Vidal and Sergi Roberto who is a midfilder!!! For f... sake this is unacceptable for a big club like Barca!!! Also this is tottaly unfair to Sergi Roberto!

Or maybe they plan to bring back Montoya to be a backup for Aleix but I sincerely doubt that...

Why the hell is it unfair to Sergi Roberto? He's thrived in that position, and going into a season knowing he'll have the chance of making the rb position his own, would only spark his motivation.

Honestly, I'm fine with him and Aleix as our options. Adriano and Bartra should leave, and if they do, it would be prudent to get a cb/rb option, who could cover for Roberto and Aleix.

Im fine with Roberto as RB aslong as we get Pogba, a good centra ldefender, and a backup attacker like Nolito, or Vietto

Sergi Roberto is not a RB he is a midfielder...in big games he will be destroyed by fast wingers

And Puyol was not a CB, he was a RB? Masche not a CB, but a DM? Players adapt to different positions. Its far too early to write off Roberto especially considering his impeccable performances there.

Yes, but all those players were defensively strong, Sergi Roberto is not! I would not write him off but I would prefer if he would play his natural position.

Exactly. RB is good imo. Focus on MSN backup, LB & CB

Roberto biggest asset is his pace.he is probably one of the fasted player we had playing that position and it was the reason Lucho moved him there
And Alba was once a winger and moved to LB,same with Vidl,Mascherano was DM b4 moving to CB too and the list goes on.that doesn't mean it is unfair to any of them

Just a small correction,Puyol was a CB who was moved to RB then to CB again.CB was his original position since he was a prospect

So we lose our starting RB and we will buy no one to fill that position? Is that how it works now? Because we have Aleix Vidal who has been more outside the team than inside, and a midfielder who's had a good couple of months at RB, when the main guy was rested or suspended.

Sounds solid business. Keep up the good work.

That's like losing Busquets and saying we trust Roberto at DM.

Roberto can play anywhere, but we might as well look at the other side of the coin and say that happens because he doesn't excel in one position.
