New Alves? Nah but I think Roberto can become a Great RB for us. Alves possessed a skill set no one is going to match no matter who we replace him with, dude was a straight up beast.

Roberto has shown Potential in the RB spot, If he can improve his Defensive Positioning and attacking runs and the CM/RB role like Alves use to do we probably don't need a new RB.

I really think we are fine in the RB position. We had vidal and roberto when alves was in his last few days here. ITs not like they both were just average quality backups to a prime young alves. They were there because they were good to replace or at least compete to this alves. Vidal has played a few games and he did really well. He can easily become our starting RB. There are not much better options at RB in the market much better than vidal.

Roberto is a great squad player, but it's very unfair towards the Spaniard to even sahe'll be the next Alves.

The brazilian is by far the best RB since Cafu and was brilliant in Sevilla as well.

I really wonder who will we sign….I suppose we need one fullback, one striker and one CB.
I am quite sure we will not sign midfielder this summer except Denis Suarez. I suppose Pogba will be target in 2017.
Let’s say we buy backup player for Alba and 4th striker (i.e. Nolito). This should not be too expensive since this won’t be star players.
So entire money left in budget will be used for CB. If this is the plan, than we could finally end up signing one great CB.

And I also hope we will sign new players ASAP because signing players in the end of August complicates their integration in team because they miss part of the preseason.

we can't sign anyone until the end of the fiscal year in June 30th.

Pogba will stay at Juve this year most likely.very slim chance he will leave this year as Juve is determined to compete for CL next season.

I do really think it just a way for sport to warrant writing this rumor again& again the whole summer.Marquinho is basically the new T.Silva for us and the media won't let such a news stop

Thiago 1,72 cm and skinny.
Pjanic around 1,80 but very skinny.
(I know, Xavi and Iniesta were similar, but they were the best players on their positions and in some other era)

They won't help us too much against Atletico next season in CL quarters (for example).
If we can't get Pogba, we don't need need midfielders at all.

40-50m for these players will be a waste of money.
For example, I surely wouldn't play Thiago instead of Iniesta.
On the other hand, I also wouldn't play Thiago instead of Rakitic since Raki brings balance.

Imagine if we get Pjanic for 40 or Thiago for 50, and that is 40+40 for Arda+Pjanic+2 wages or 40+50 for Arda+Thiago+2 wages.
For more or less the same money we can get Pogba.

So, imo again, if we can't get Pogba, then splash the money on a Cb and 4th Fc.
