Yeah, he's had a disappoint season. I still wouldn't mind if we bought him as a second cb, though. He's real quality and has all the attributes we'd be looking for.

Good point but knowing Barca's managing style it won't happen :(

Perhaps Selo is average, in other ways? :VdB:

If we're getting someone for short-term, then perhaps we should look at Willy instead of Keylor Navas. Willy can also play the role Pinto have when ter Stegen arrives, but it's a gamble as Pinto have also shown that he is good enough to perhaps stay another season.....

Anyway, it will be quite difficult to get a GK right now, no club would like to sell or loan in the final stage of the season....

@barcastuff: Barcelona's team doctor travelled to Germany to test Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (23), who is injured at this moment. [md]

If Gundogan wasn't edging towards being a perma-crock, I think he'd be a wonderful signing for us. Great player who would certainly go someway to filling the void Xavi's absence leaves in the team (not that I agree with that tactic btw).

Great news if true. I want him if hes injury free.

@barcastuff: A Barcelona scout attended Valencia-Villarreal on Sunday to watch Mateo Musacchio (Vil) but got more impressed by Jeremy Mathieu (Val). [sd]

If this shiet is even remotely true, i would be really sad bout the quality of the so called "scouts" of ours, not that they have ever make me happy anyway

Barcelona are considering to sign a goalkeeper to replace Valdes, also because Pinto has been suffering from back problems this season. [as]

Thoughts?

Willy definitely is my choice. Malaga has not much to play for this season. Should be easier to deal with IMO. And the best choice out there qualitywise.

I don't think we need buy a temp goalkeeper. Pinto is solid and I trust him, he knows our system. Another keeper won't fill the gap now.

Also is Valdes leaving or staying after this long injury. Not sure if City or Monaco (rumored) will sign him now although he won't cost them anything as he is on free transfer.

Same...Shame about Alves because he would've been a good consideration as well

Why? Musacchio doesn't strike me as a player worthy enough to dress the blaugrana shirt. Never did. I think he's good for a Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal type of team, but that's it. Much like Inigo Martinez. I don't like him either. In fact, I would look for a talented CB outside of Spain. Look for one in Ligue 1, there are plenty of talents there.

Read that specialists deemed that his injury is not career threatning.

Also read he's had bouts of paralysis so there is spinal involvement, sounds very disconcerting both for the player and any potential suitor...Would come with a major caveat emptor label
