i get what you're saying but depth isn't a problem except in defence. our midfield is sorted (we should swap song with someone else though) and we have 4 forwards for 3 positions which is good. remember we have guys like gerard and adama coming through aswell. (for future seasons). we don't need a suarez or even a plan b guy like mandzukic. we broke down buses all the time in pep era because the motivation was there for smaller games.
the actual personnel isn't the main problem. as we have seen the squad is still good enough to beat anyone. we could even beat bayern tbh. it is the attitude of the players and atmosphere of the club thats the main problem. we need a new board with interests of the club at heart and for the good attitude and winning mentality to trickle down to the squad from there.

That's hilarious. Obviously hasn't been keeping up on current events.I hear Martin DeMichelis is available in the summer.

Just because our defence is so bad that any decent defender would improve it doesn't mean we should go for any decent defender. We should go for the great or potentially great ones

I've seen a fair bit of Liverpool this season when he's been getting some games and I've been surprised at how poor he has been.
I did say last summer that he could be a good option, but after seeing his recent performances I have changed my mind and don't believe he is the answer to our defensive problems.

Yeah, he's had a disappoint season. I still wouldn't mind if we bought him as a second cb, though. He's real quality and has all the attributes we'd be looking for.

Agger was a great option last summer, I liked the idea of him in our team so much. But seeing him this season, only if he's being bought with another CB, then yes, I'd take Agger for the back-up role. But if we're getting 1 CB, Agger would be last on the list.
