Considering none of them are specialist Centre-backs, that's not saying much. And it shouldn't be the barometer for our replacement.

This. David Luiz may be an improvement, but that's only because of how shitty our current defense is.

Also, I'm not sure how well Luiz/Pique would work. Sure, Luiz would provide the pace that Pique lacks, but they could be a brainfart waiting to happen, not to mention both of them like going forward (as do both of our fullbacks). Though Pique has cut back on the mistakes this season...
