Probably they receive Zubi's paycheck, because apparently they are the ones "scouting" new players and taking care of every transfer negotiation...

If Luiz is a done deal, the next defenders we need a rightback and a cb/lb. I think we should go after one of Laporte, Mathieu, or Yaroslav Rakitskiy for the cb/lb player. And only God knows who we could get for rightback.

Edit: hopefully it's Laporte.

lol...you people complain about literally everything.

Give Luiz a CHANCE before putting his head on the guillotine. He's had some very impressive defensive performances for Chelsea (as well as bad ones), but FFS, you don't know how he will do under a new a team and a new coach.

UCL 2012 Final and Confed Cup Final 2013 show what a Luiz on top of his game can do.

In all seriousness, moments like 0:55, 1:24 are what worry me with Luiz. He has a habit of being caught lingering on the ball and if he tries that kind of stuff against Ronaldo and Di Maria, they will pick him off in a heartbeat and start odd man breaks immediately. Its the sort of reason why Thiago never got the trust from Tito (even though he didn't do it often). Puyol was a no non-sense, simple, focused defender and Luiz hardly fits the bill in that regards if he is to be his successor. He has Puyol's athleticism and has more talent on the ball than he did, but its that no bullshit approach to defending that is desperately lacking now in our back line. A Benatia or Laporte makes more sense if we are going to spend 35+ on him. Hell, even Thiago Silva or Hummels might come for that much.

I like Luiz and he is an improvement over Mascherano but we still need a much more consistent defender in our ranks, Luiz alone won't cut it. Too bad this idiot :zubi: doesn't know how to do his job

No, Thiago Silva won't come even for 50m euro. PSG don't need money… anyways.

We need centre backs and Zubi is once again gonna buy a player who played the entire season as a midfielder… can't believe it.

Zubi, give the man what he wants........ FFS lol

Luis Enrique also wants a centre forward in his squad next season, while Zubizarreta prefers a 'false 9', a more versatile forward. [md]

By this logic, Masche is a CB.
