lol @ iniesta been likelier to the ballon d'or than any of ribery/bastian/lahm

not that iniesta isn't amazing, but last season the bayern players were far more effective.

This is exactly why none of the Bayern players will win the Ballon d'Or; they are too indistinguishable, performance-wise. Ribery, Müller, Schweini and Lahm will most likely take votes away from each other.

Yup! Exactly suckabov. Nobody dominated the mid-field for them like Basti though. Was their leader right along side Lahm. I'm really glad he received recognization like that among his peers though.

Lahm and Schweini were my favourites too - and I must say I'm quite happy for those two. They both were somewhat underrated and didn't really get the recognition they deserved for a long time.

German media (Focus) was reporting that there was a problem with some of the ballots getting to the hands of the journalists because Kicker Magazine apparently messed up the names and addresses of some of the journalists? Eventually only 527 out of the 3700 eligible voting journalists voted?

It's absolutely laughable, how underrated Ribery in some forums is. Ribery is the King of Munich and nobody else. His performances last year were just ridiculously good and he is the heart of the attack. Always trying something and beating and destroying his opponents, creating many, many chances and fighting hard also in defence. Almost every Munich supporter loves Ribery unconditionally. Of course, he is a hothead and easy to provoke on the field, but off the field he has no problems at all with anybody of the club and he is known as the entertainer and prank maker.

Schweinsteiger is a wonderful player and Lahm the best RB on planet, but Ribery is the most important player and most people who watch Bundesliga regularly would say he is without a doubt the best player in Bundesliga.

Lahm and Schweinsteiger are important to the way Bayern play, but Ribery is the one who wins them games with a moment of magic, he makes the difference for them week in week out.

Exactly! Ribery was ridiculous last season! the only people who underrate Ribery are the ones who don't watch him regularly because if you watched him week in week out its easy to see why he is one of the very very best in the world!

Iniesta didn't win in 2010 because he didn't deserved it and because Xavi and Messi war far better than him(and if the format of BdO wouldn't have been changed Sneijder would have won it)..if Lahm, Schweinsteiger or Ribéry don't win it this year will be because they will splitt the votes between them.

I know he has been important but I think even withouth Ribery they could've won the treble. Ribery made 10 goals and 14 assists.. put Robben on the left and Müller on the right and you will get the same result.

Put honestly play without Lahm and/or Schweinsteiger and look at the difference.

Ps. Where was Ribery in the CL Final? Piszczek completely owned him and he still does.
