Bastian Schweinsteiger

Bastian made his importance felt by his absence, really. In the second half of the 11/12 season, Bayern suffered tremendously and dipped so much, mostly because Bastian was injured. When Bastian plays well, Bayern do well.

Bastian and Lahm are irreplaceable in Bayern. Ribery, not so much.

BLASPHEMY!
I pretty much agree with the above posts. Only exception being Robben giving the same stats.....we all know how selfish he is . Ribery is all about that killer pass. So Robben would probably have more goals......but as for the overall point, I agree with him being nearly as effective.
Luftstalag got it totally right though. Without Bastian Bayern are not nearly as organized and balanced. Nowhere near as good as they can be with him.

lol no way!

Where was Ribery? He made the brilliant assist that slipped Robben through! Believe he was involved in other goal too but cant remember.

Ribery was brilliant for Bayern, ESSENTIAL!

Ribery was easily the best player in Bundesliga, I can't believe someone actually disputes that. He was involved in SO many goals, did his defensive work and counter-attacked brilliantly through the wings. Opposition full backs couldn't handle him throughout the season.

Edit: And yes, it was him who nutmegged Subotic with the pass that put Robben through before he crossed for the first goal, and his control and backheel slipped Robben for the winner.

It's absolutely laughable, how underrated Ribery in some forums is. Ribery is the King of Munich and nobody else. His performances last year were just ridiculously good and he is the heart of the attack. Always trying something and beating and destroying his opponents, creating many, many chances and fighting hard also in defence. Almost every Munich supporter loves Ribery unconditionally. Of course, he is a hothead and easy to provoke on the field, but off the field he has no problems at all with anybody of the club and he is known as the entertainer and prank maker.

Schweinsteiger is a wonderful player and Lahm the best RB on planet, but Ribery is the most important player and most people who watch Bundesliga regularly would say he is without a doubt the best player in Bundesliga.

I agree.

Ribery was definitely Bayern's best player last season. Schweinsteiger and Lahm were amazing, but sorry they were not even close.

In my opinion:

1. Ribery
2. Schweinsteiger
3. Lahm
4. Robben
5. Neuer/Alaba/Javi Martinez/Mandzukic (all of them were pretty good)

messi will win it, because he is the best player and bod is an award for the best player, bastian is not even the best in his position, how should he win?
only because bayern won the treble, the playern arent automatically the best players, bastian isnt even the best in his poition, lahm is but no way a defender will win.
also other than messi would be a insult to football, because he is the best, no matter if barca wins or not

Yeah, that's out of question! But some journalists predict a Bayern player to win it, although imo the chances are low because they'll most likely take votes away from each other.

Bastian is the midfield general providing distributions, setting the pace of the game, linking up defense and offense. He makes Bayern a well-oiled machine. Without him Bayern will crumble. Ribery on the other hand does provide some nice goals and key assists, but without him Bayern can still win games. Bastian's contribution to Bayern's success is much bigger than Ribery's.

Bastian is not even the best in his position? What is his position? He is not a Xavi or Busquets. He is an all-rounder, a box-to-box all-weather midfielder who defends well and scores goals. Who is better than Bastian in this context? Don't tell me it is Xabi Alonso.

The closest would be Vidal

He is the German Messi? Come on, stop kidding around. I do like Sami, but he has this tendency to think he is a forward rather so sometimes he spends more time inside the box than where he belongs.
