Bastian Schweinsteiger

To be fair to Schweinsteiger, he's been absolutely mullered since breaking through, for both Bayern and Germany, in '04.
Averaged 52 games a season since '04 and since '08 he's averaged 56 games a season. Now for a box to box to play that amount over such a long period of time would kill anyones legs.
Especially considering how dependent Bayern have been on him. That's like 5 seasons - near 300 games.

He, like Evra, needs to be conditioned carefully. Think this is actually on cos' Honigstein said United were offered him when they wanted Kroos, Hunter says Guardiola doesn't like Schweinsteiger's style of play, Bayern have replacements and are over-stocked, he's 30 in Aug. and for £15-20M it would be a tempting offer.

Wonder how much he'd go for, possibly £20M?

United could get Bastian, and then a younger future star: O.Torres/Clasie (somebody like that) and just flourish.

Everyone is rumored to be on ManU's list these days.

But on the other hand, I think if they truly go for Bastian, he should move. He had been the backbone of that Bayern team for a long time and they heavily relied on him, up until two seasons ago. I think given the tactical changes and his own conditions (including injuries), Schweinsteiger is no longer that valued by Bayern and its fans. He was the heart and soul of that club, but he is not being appreciated enough, in my opinion.

It is time for Bastian to go abroad and try new things, perhaps he can reach new heights that he will not be by staying with Bayern.

I wholeheartedly welcome this move. But then again, I think Bayern management still understands his importance, but on and off the field so they will not sell him.

Would love Bastian for rumoured £15-£17m

Would rotate nicely with Arteta.

Both Bastian and Arteta would thrive off it also. 2 games every 2 weeks... lovely. No more imbecilic Flamini.
