Bernardo Silva

Why? Most players improved under Valverde, and became worse the moment he left.

Though overall of course, City is a better choice, so he it was a wise decision.

Stop. You're trolling too much.

The only one who performed on all cylinders under EV was...Messi.

Doubt he'd play so well in our broken system with these meme players in attack.

He wouldn't play well here, he's got no pace and he's an unorthodox player. Not a true winger or midfielder. You need a smart coach (like Pep) to place these kind of gems in situations where they are most likely to excel. He'd kinda be like Griezmann.

Also, this guy (and Hazard) is proof that you don't need insane pace to be an exceptional wide forward. It's all about technique, reading the game, anticipation, and of course a great set up from your coach.

Please don't bring EV even in Bernardo's thread.

But since you mention it, on what planet has Rakitic improved going from Lucho to EV?

Are you serious !?

That is like saying David Silva and Mata and all the other similar players would have struggled in La Liga !!

Ha has been one of THE standout players in the league this season along with Salah and Cancelo

To think this guy was available just this summer for 70M, RM needed a right winger and wanted to pay 220 for a guy with 1 year on contract

Fucking shambolic

I'm not talking about them struggling in La Liga, I'm talking about them struggling in this team. This team heavily depends on individual brilliance because the coaching set up has been mediocre for about 4-5 years now, and because the squad's mediocre; so individual talents like B.Silva or D.Silva would be forced to heavily depend on their own talent instead of cohesive team play. They are not the type of players through blast through defenses on a regular basis, they depend on link up play and intelligent movement in half spaces.

This is why players like Coutinho, Griezmann, Grealish, B.Silva, and so on are currently a bad fit for us. Whereas pacey forwards like Sterling, Torres, Coman, Sane, and Dembele are what we need.

MATS, Suarez, Rakitic, Messi improved from Lucho to EV...says the RM fan.

Unbelievable amount of trolling.

They remained more or less the same level from Lucho to EV, what i mean by that is that many, if not all of them dropped a level the moment EV was fired.

They all performed noticably worse under Betis-man and Koeman.

All of them destroyed Europe in 14/15 and LL in 14,15, and 16 (90+ point seasons).

They all actually dropped a level from Lucho to EV (except Messi) and then even more after EV.

Which basically means EV had fuck all to do with their form/level and that it was simply going from being in their prime to being old (under Koeman).

Yes, they all went from prime to old in a manner of weeks/months, stunning!

Also, the same argument can be turned right back at you, Lucho had a better and younger squad than EV, but somehow this only counts aganst EV, not against anybody else.

Makes no sense.

I didn't rate Lucho very highly until he proved it with Spain.

Let's let EV even be hired as interim manager first for a tier 1 club...until then, he's an average manager who got carried by Messi and to a lesser extent Suarez.
