Hulk was pretty awful at wasting good opportunities. I actually don't mind if we start Ramires on the right. He'll run up and down the right side all day and give us a bit more stability defensively. I prefer Willian though as he is better technically.

As of right now, my concern is we need another player to step up and be the Bebeto or Rivaldo to Neymar. He is playing at high level and he needs some one too match him.

Feranandinho defintively improved the side. Nice goal too.
Concede on that point.

Willian for hulk is possible given the competition.

Gustavo was horrible with the ball yesterday. Can't do that again. wtf

They are horrible, playing like England with the long balls, wing play and counters, were so lucky today!
Hope they crash out as soon as possible.

Fernandinho made no difference to the midfield today. Paulinho will probably get back for the quarters.

With Luis Gustavo suspended it would be interesting who Scolari selects in the next game. Fernandinho did decent but I think he deserves another chance in particular given the number of chances Paulinho has had.

It's always going to be difficult to control the midfield because Brazil simply do not have the technical players in the middle of the park. For one reason or another Scolari didn't pick them.

Yeah, I can't see us winning this. Under too much pressure. Hulk was good in spurts but not consistent enough and Fred/Jo are useless.

I disagree, he made a difference defensively IMO. There was less space than before but he also got away with persistent fouling.. Gustavo was a big lost IMO.

I can't believe Fernandinho didn't get booked. He made so many fouls without receiving a warning Xabi Alonso became jealous.

That was the best I've seen from Hulk playing for Brazil but even then he's so frustrating to watch. His decision making and technical ability is not of the required standard but at least he was direct and his goal should have stood imo. I thought Neymar tried to do too much on his own and as a result frequently lost the ball.

Brazil really need to improve if they wish to go further although I'm not sure this squad is quite good enough to go all the way.

He didn't help the transition. Brazil had no mf for that, again. Chile owned the midfield. If Vidal was fit, they would've win the game, imo.
