I think in the summer, if everyone is fit and available, we will sell one big name sqaud player to help us with the 1:1

That's what tebas has been wanting/telling us to do for a few seasons now.

Really? if you go by the fanbase they're still in love with FFF and if we win anything they will reap the accolades.

Term is not a problem. Our previous contract has been renegotiated several times. That's normal.

No matter how much money we get, we need to continue to optimize the payroll.

1. Frenkie - 19 million euros salary excluding deferred payments
2. Araujo, who wants around 12m euros. That is 5m more than he has now.

These are our valuable assets that can bring us at least €120m.
And free up 26 (19+5) million euros from the WP fund.

Fati - there is virtually no demand for him. But he gets 12 million euros.

Inigo's contract is €9m. If he wants to stay, he has to make concessions. He's about to turn 35. If he plays a certain number of matches - then his contract will be extended automatically for a year. Okay, we can offer him a 2-year contract with a salary of 4 million euros a year.

Lewandowski's contract - €33m - must also be renegotiated. If we keep him, we have to reduce it by more than 50%.
If he is not ready - let him go.

Yamal's contract - we must be very, very careful. If his demands are crazy - we have to show him the door. No player should be above the club.

By the way, Fermin got a 4 million euros after extending his contract until 2029.

I think this is an adequate figure.

FDJ. No question about it now. With Casado and Bernal's prominence, plus Gavi coming back, and Olmo being the latest big money signing, and performing...not to mention FDJ entering the last year of his contract.

I think we'll even take 50M this summer. Question is, will he accept to leave this time? Maybe, if he's still coming off the bench more times than not. That's why it's crucial to keep both Pedri and Casado fit this season, cause they're both undroppable in this form and if they stay fit...with even Gavi having trouble getting into the lineup, but he's also coming back from a big injury so it's not such a problem for him not playing so much right away, and he's obviously staying either way. But even if he's just coming back, he also needs to be ahead in the pecking order.

That's three players ahead, with possibly even Christensen and Bernal, when they both come back. Selling FDJ, an actual expendable, but still a very marketable asset (even with only a year on his contract) becomes a no brainer, especially if it finally gets us back to 1:1.

Doesn't look like a good contract. Short term it doesn't even get us to 1:1, long term it's too long of a contract that will get eaten by inflation and new deals that other top clubs will get in a few years while we'll be tied with this contract. No significant renegotiations will happen in the next 10 years, maybe some tweaks but this is the contract.

We should wait until 2026 when CN fully opens, maybe we'll have some success in those two seasons until then. It's stupid to negotiate this contract now when we are at a all time low with no CN, bad results in the previous years and bad financial situation of the club. It's the same as the levers, Laporta only cares about short term gains but even short term it doesn't get us to 1:1 because his shananigans with Barca Studios lever.

Not sure I like this as a Nike shareholder, but seems like a good deal for Barca.

Also shows how RL9 transfer and wages more than pay for themselves with his marketability.
This jabroni the type to own a couple shares of a company and shout "I'm an owner in the company"

Yes in a perfect world, we would wait until closer to the deal being done to renegotiate.

Going in 4 years before it's done, obviously weakens our hand, Madrid is getting 117m per year now (I think). we will be getting about 20m more than that after the contract fully kicks in.

But the deal Barto got was terrible in the first place, a base of 55m or whatever the number is, was crazy low for a club like ours.

But in our current situation It was a good deal.
