Honestly could the bundesliga be anymore of a joke? Refs allowing side netting goals just so teams can keep up with Bayern and make the league look competitive.

Even if he got fooled it's clear that it's out, the funny thing is that the place where the ball hitted nets probably were ripped or got ripped from the hit and the ball got inside from outside.

Well, it's not like he cut the hole into the net to grant Leverkusen some points. Stupid decision, yes, but in that respect la liga & Real Madrid aren't much better.

Calma, calma
It's a perplexing decision though. It seems like none of the Leverkusen players were even celebrating the goal, so why did the ref give it?

What is perplexing about it ? Shit happens. The league had a similar case 20 odd years ago with Helmer scoring a phantom goal for Bayern vs Nürnberg, the consequence was that the game was repeated which is exactly what will happen in this case here too.

Are refs allowed to annul goals?

Anyway, is the game actually going to be replayed?

Yes, they are allowed to do so.

Whether the match is replayed isn't 100 % certain, but Hoffenheim has filed a complaint and the DFB is not known to go against precedent decisions + they would earn a shitstorm if they'd let this slide. So I'm pretty sure that this match will be replayed.

Edit: I just re-read the DFB statutes which state that the final decision is made by the FIFA on whether a match is replayed or not, but the DFB present the case. Since the FIFA hates replaying matches, there's a risk factor here. Time for the DFB to show some balls.
