Premier League surpassed Serie A years ago. It’s been bang average for most of the last 25 years.

History of match fixing too. Stadiums well outdated and often empty seats everywhere.

No top players go there in their prime either. Usually once they’re on the slide. Its heyday was the 90s and it’s been pretty average ever since.

Read my post again.

Said Bundesliga is a better watch and more entertaining than LL which is hard to debate. Spanish Football is tedious to watch for the most part.

Historically, Serie A>>LL.

PL will overtake everything historically in the next decade. Already far ahead in terms of recent history and global interest.

This guy can't help himself from hating on anything remotely Barca related.

Serie A had a golden period of 20-30 years and has been a dump since Calciopoli  LL has similarly had 20-30 years as the dominant league in the world.

EPL is at or reaching 20-30. Bundesliga at 0.

Fergus90, you're correct but in terms of perception, a certain generation still has that 90's Italia nostalgia and recall all those stars playing in that league.

The league had it's own distinct flavour and tactical supremacy until 2005. People around the globe loved Italian Football. They had a great national team and a number of big clubs.

Juventus, Inter, Milan, Roma, Napoli, Lazio Fiorentina, Parma, etc are all huge Football institutions with global fan following. Just like the PL have their "big 6" circlejerk, the Calcio had the "7 sisters" thing going on.

It's an amazing league with great legacy and many superstars graced that league: Maradona, Baggio, Maldini, Nesta, Zidane, Totti, R9, Kaka, Dinho, Pirlo, CR7, Del Piero, Batigol and countless others.

A certain generation of Football fans will always be in awe of what the Calcio once was and what it represented.

Can't imagine Xabi Alonso staying beyond this season, if Bayern do what they usually do, and rob their "rival" of key players.

Once all these foreign coaches leave the EPL it will fall back to where it was for decades, a league with the most money but the performances don't match.

Klopp is out, pep will be soon, and the others.

Epl is too good to fall completely back but can imagine la liga will overtake them again

Most of the time the best league is there where the best coaches are

No, La Liga won't overtake the PL anytime soon and the likes of Perez and Laporta know that very well and are desperate for the Super League.

Midtable PL clubs attract great talent from around the globe easily.

If EPL doesn't change current FFP rules, other leagues will start to close the gap with EPL, it will be back to where it was just before Covid rather than how it is after especially with new Stadiums in Barca & RM. Will remain the best most likely but other leagues won't be that far off IMHO. Which overall will be healthy for football in general, a one super dominant league isn't good for football fans IMO.

You mean financially they won't overtake PL.
Cause on the field, PL teams regularly get spanked by La liga still.

And those mid table teams regularly get schooled by better coached la Liga teams.

It's the Influx of top class coaches at the highest levels that has put EPL over the top, even now the lesser teams are learning they need a foreign coach to really do well in Europe.

But those coaches will start to leave one by one and the league will take a half a step to a full step back.

Financially its untouchable and will remain so, but the football without the coaches will suffer.

Why are all those top coaches in the PL? The PL has the resources to attract the great players and build great squads and a high level league.

When this group of coaches leave the Prem and are washed up, the next generation/group of coaches will be at the PL. By then, they'll be the elite coaches of the world.

For instance, Xabi Alonso is a new young coach with World Class potential. He'll spend his peak in the PL when he'll hopefully be amongst the greatest in the world.

Do you get it? After City, Pep will probably go to a National Team and gradually end his coaching career.

It'll be a constant cycle of the Prem attracting the best coaches in their pomp.
