I need to buy bayern munich tickets, anyone knows a good website that sells them? Thanks
No, it wasn't wrong, which is why I even made the comment regarding why German is not as widely spoken around the globe as it should ( ).
btw, deciding the fate of the various forms of Christianity is not exactly equal to "saving mankind", I'd say. I was refering to the 30 years war. If you don't know much about it, it was the biggest religious war in the history of mankind which was fought on German soil, costing the German populace more than World War 1 and 2 combined, in relation to the overall populace even much more.
Anyways, just found it weird to be called a Nazi based on my previous comments here on these boards. I was used to being called a Kraut Swine and Nazi everytime I had wooped the floor with some Americans or British in Call of Duty 4 (which happened A LOT) back in the day, which made it even more fun, but here? Now? By YOU?
Why Brutus, why?
Actually, I read somewhere that at the dawn of the American revolution the Continental Congress was going to vote on what language the newly-founded United States would adopt, English or German since there was a sizable population in the colonies that spoke German, not sure if that was true.
I understand what you are saying, but when you look at other German clubs, the Germans are well represented, so they don't really have something to complain about, if that were something that would concern them. The issue I have isn't strictly an ethnic one. For example, I'd rather have half a squad of world class foreigners and half a squad of world class Germans than a whole squad of okayish Germans. As a fan of Bayern and the German National Team, I want to see the same players plying their trade at Bayern represent Germany at the biggest stage of international football. I'd like to imagine my preference as unique, since it's one of a dual Bayern and DFB idealism. If a Russian, born in Japan, with German grandparents, grew up in Canada, played for Bayern AND decided to represent Germany - I would want that motherfucker to play for Bayern if he were a starter in the national team.
It's simply a personal preference. My biggest concern was Pep acquiring Spanish players simply because they were Spanish, while similar German talents were available. I hope this post isn't misunderstood.
For this very reason it was pretty concerning seeing Kroos leaving. And then Basti, while we bought the very first Spanish player (and then 4 more!) only a couple of years ago. You understand why I became suspicious? Barca were integral to the success of Spain's triumphs; and in the same way Germany's backbone consisted of Bayern players when they won the World Cup. I fucking loved that. So yeah, I'd be a happier fan of Kroos if he were a starter at FCB and DFB, as opposed to RM and DFB. It's a silly little thing, but we had it so good that I took it for granted.
As for the foreign part of it, as my grandfather was German, I feel a little German myself. The culture, the people, the language etc. I feel a part of that. So, I can understand why it's weird seeing foreign fans raging over the same issue.

As far as I know, that is but a legend. There's no truth to it.
IIRC, this legend comes from the 1795 proposal to also print American laws in German, in addition to English, to better accommodate German immigrants.

The local fans never had that connection with Kroos that you e.g. see in the international forums and did not really see that as such a big loss. Maybe some did see the loss of a quality player - but there never was the emotional connection that the fans have with some of the players - and in that aspect it is not really important from what country they come from. Yes, Schweinsteiger and Müller are very important for the fans - but that has as much to do with them coming out of the region and out of own youth - as with their characters. Some of the past and current foreign players are more integrated into the Bayern family than a lot of the Germans that were playing for Bayern are.
Schweinsteiger was a different story - and it is important that Bayern keeps a core of local players. That is why Müller is so important for the team and the future - but I like the international players at Bayern a lot and I think it is more important how this players relationship to the club and fans is than what nationality they have.
This league is over already...just shocking how easy Bayern have it and how good they are.
The comp is poor.
