Live shot in the interior of Camp Nou this morning, I noticed now only 3/5 cranes are operational - 2 telescopic cranes are now folded down, perhaps being prepared to exit via corner tunnel

Still considerable material (Some of which appear like drainage pipes) at both goal ends & gradual earth removal along touch lines - surprised this step has not been completed yet but in theory might only take <1 month to complete

Based on previous experience with laying new turf, that process takes 1 month from being laid to playing on it - in theory, the grass being grown in Extremadura and transported via refrigerated trucks is likely already being grown and would need to be laid down latest in beginning of February or end January to meet a March re-opening

Last step for interior work ahead of opening will look like this:

A picture of gol sur - tribuna. They've managed to close that big area in a matter of weeks. The stadium's accessibility from this side shouldn't be a problem in 2-3 months. The huge staircase is also nearly finished that fans will need to use from now on. Most of the tribuna side is also accessible.

The parking lateral - gol norte is the least advanced part of the stadium. As you can see, they still didn't finish even the foundation, although further up they finished the access level already. The reason they work in parts here is, because they only recently removed an earthen ramp for vehicles. They also started with the second ring here, but it plays no role if the stadium is ready to play football in obviously. The imprortant parts are the accessibility and the work inside, so people are safe enough to attend the games.

But these pictures also show how huge the stadium will actually be if you consider the gigantic underground floors you won't see when all is finished. Without a doubt it'll be the biggest stadium in Europe, not only in seat capacity, but also in square meters.

This is just beautiful, now they are talking about playing home games in Mestalla. :yuck: They might just as well ask la liga for an exemption to the rules and play the last home games in Johan Cruyff.

The stadium has to be built without any compromise. I think they are doing a superb job. The amount of concrete pouring and reinforcements they did in 2024 is impressive. This is not a renovation, keep that in mind, it's almost a completely new stadium. A huge one at that.

Clip from last night of interior status, cement truck rolling in which suggests that irrigation drainage trough will be done soon

2 weeks later and gravel is being leveled across majority of where the pitch will be laid, January is going to see a lot of visual changes both in the interior of Camp Nou and outside with a lot of the seating in the gradas nearly complete already

I think works are gonna go far quicker once the underground parking area is gonna be finished. It takes a lot of hours and personnel to do that part in order to finally level the space around the stadium. We are forgetting a bit that it's a large area around the stadium that is being worked on.
