They still have the curvature around the pitch. That is disappointing. This was a great opportunity to bring the fans as close to the pitch as possible and make the place a bit more intimidating.

Don't think you can get much closer than this, especially at non-bench side.

Because they hardly ever sold out the old 81k capacity stadium. Even when they had BBC going all guns blazing they never managed to sell out the stadium even for Classicos or UCL semis and quarter finals.

Attendance was always around the 77k - 79k mark for their biggest games.

The desire is just not there.

78k today for the Madrid derby. Again, plenty of empty seats.

We have far more match day going fans, when the Camp Nou returns, but Laporta desperately needs to do something about the singing section.

My biggest fear with the renovation was the risk of altering the fantastic aura the stadium has long had,,,I don’t fear it any longer, Laporta should get a statute for what the finished product will be but already you can appreciate how perfectly thought out many aspects in & outside the stadium were designed. For those who never had the pleasure of being at Camp Nou, this is really going to be something for the future to be proud of

I look forward to returning this season, long before it is finally complete to see them play on the new pitch

Not quite, it's an old illustration. We don't see the two VIP rings in this picture and the roof will be bigger with a smaller gap in the middle. Also the third stand won't be as big as in the picture due to the vip rings.
