Camp Nou

Madrid didn't do any actual demolishing, foundation work, parking, if I remember well. Mostly covered the old structure with that metallic shell in terms of outside work for example. Our project is completely different, in the sense that the funds are directed on different things.

New structure:

Top tier upgrades. While in terms of the facade aesthetic, its just not my cup of tea.

Yeah. First tier was just a side note in my comment. Barca had to start from zero and that's the big difference in budgets. Frankly I'm against those spaceship 360 scoreboards. Unnecessary distraction to me.

Camp Nou is wider as per city planning. Bernabeu is narrow and they squeeze the maximum of that space.

To be honest, 360 display would look absolutely stellar in new Camp Nou.

I don't think the facade of the new Bernabeu looks that bad in terms of its execution. Where it looks bad is on design aesthetic for me, and the fact that they put out renders knowing that they had nothing to do with the reality.

The roof is amazing. That's the part where Bernabeu got it spot on. Metal structures can allow you to push the roof up. With cables, the most you can do is slightly downwards. That's how steel cables work. They can support a structure by way of uniformly applied tension, but they can't elevate them. So the roof on Camp Nou will be slightly downwards, sunk in compared to the last 10-15 rows of the third tier.
