Carlo Ancelotti

Whether he gets sacked or not, I think the decision is mostly not based on a rational one. Presidents want to make it look like they are doing something, sacking him and bringing a new one is mostly telling people "hey he couldn't do it, let's try it with another one".

So Ancelotti saying either Real or sabbatical. Seems like somebody is waiting on Pep's move and whether he can succeed him at Bayern or not. :pep:

I remember that one interview Carlo gave not long ago during which he expressed that he could very well imagine managing Bayern. :)

At least he would win a league for a change.

Not so sure about that. U think that people in Catalunya care more about domestic competition and beating Madrid than international fans.

People in Catalunya sure have to suffer more than us if Real wins the league, but still, the bragging rights/prestige/international recognition from winning the CL works both for international and domestic fans alike. It is the pinnacle of club football and we all know it. It is just a politically correct and cautious tactic by officials/players/fans to sometimes say that winning the league is the number one goal. Winning the CL is several magnitudes more difficult (and rare) than winning any league, hence it's far and away the bigger achievement and the most desirable one. Even the biggest clubs go decades without it. No league remotely compares to that.

Not everywhere though right? I remember Milan over a decade a guy wanted to win the scudetto more cause the cl was easier for them strangely enough.
I think Liverpool fans said the same around 2007 as well but could be wrong about that one.

Overall I guess the general concensus is cl>liga>el>domestic cup>world cup>European super cup>domestic supercup.
