Not everywhere though right? I remember Milan over a decade a guy wanted to win the scudetto more cause the cl was easier for them strangely enough.
I think Liverpool fans said the same around 2007 as well but could be wrong about that one.
Overall I guess the general concensus is cl>liga>el>domestic cup>world cup>European super cup>domestic supercup.
For a big club like AC Milan a domestic drought can only for a few years. A European drought can still last for decades. AC Milan are the one side in Europe where their Domestic League to European Cups ratio is quite astonishing. 7 European Cups to 18 Leagues. If you start counting the leagues that AC Milan have won since the European Cup started in the first place then it is a scarcely believable 7 to 13. It's as if AC Milan have been winning one European Cup for every two leagues over the course of decades. Can they keep this up? I very much doubt it. AC Milan are the exception that confirms the rule, and even for this mighty exception, winning the league is still much easier than winning the European Cup. Now, they cannot even get in it. Having a brief period where your CL titles outnumber your league titles is just a grande blessing and the result of confluences of events, not something you can ever rely on.
And one final thing, most football fans are worse than politicians in the BS department. They say stupid things/bare lies all the time.
