If he goes to Utd I will be pretty angry. Now is the time he is needed and required. Going to Utd would make him look week and indecisive. I never really liked Cesc but I would lose respect for him if he left. It looks like he's going. Tata's words say it all.

Tata said he dares to say he's staying. I think he'll stay.

Great performance last night from Cesc.

One of his better performances as of late and it's interesting to see how Tata manages the squad's tactics this season. We have an interesting dynamic going on in the MF right now. Cesc-Iniesta has looked out of sync at times last season and its interesting that both Xavi and Iniesta were pulled before Cesc came.

It seems like Messi, Cesc needs to be the focal point in MF for him to be at his best which is somewhat a problem bc ideally we'd want him and either Xavi or Iniesta both playing in the same formation. However, perhaps it is best that Cesc continue playing with Sergi. Perhaps we could evolve to have two looks this season in MF, one with the usual Xavi-Busi-Iniesta and the other being Sergi-Busi-Cesc. It seems Cesc best prevails (at least with Barça) when he is a sole AM with the other two MF being deeper a la Deco during the Rijkaard years.

Very promising performance from Cesc and it will be interesting to see how he evolves this season

Good point. I also think that it makes no sense playing Xavi, Iniesta and Cesc in the same line up. Two of them is sufficient for to midfield sots ahead of Busi and they should rotate to prevent exhaustion and injuries considering high pressing will be utilized.

Now, thing is Cesc needs to play in the more advanced role and Xavi in central one so that means Iniesta is the one whou would need to adapt to his partner (playing more advanced with Xavi as usual and taking Xavi role alongside Cesc). Certainly Iniesta is capable of that.

Don't think Sergi Roberto is a good combo with Cesc, a leat in tough matches. Too much directness, not enough control in that combo.

Is Cesc going to be our new free kick taker? :p

But yeah, best performer in the second half. Very good finishing too.

With Messi on the pitch? Nope. Otherwise, yes.

Anyway, why would Cesc go to utd? He's happy here, loves the club, loves the city, gonna get more time because of his great performances etc... Why would leave a club he loves for a club he hates? If he would go anywhere it'd be Arsenal

Relax guys. It's just to threaten the club that he wants to a more prominent role next season and that he isn't happy to be just a squad player, even though he gets a lot of time. He seems very happy and I don't think he'd leave Barcelona only after 2 seasons. I really can't see him leaving

Yeah..you're probably right. And maybe he even wants a new contract because he had to give up on some money when he came from Arsenal.

Cesc doesn't have any problems at the the beginning of the season..it's after Christmas when he seems a different player.
