Cesc Fàbregas

He was awesome today when played IN HIS POSITION!

His passing and his eye for the breakthrough, can-opener pass is awesome. WHY would he be played further up the field, where his lack of pace and general slowness is exposed badly? Tata has with Cesc, as he has with Messi and Alves, not used him properly - not being played to his strengths.

Seriously, the verticality Cesc brought was a BREATH OF FRESH AIR compared to the endless sideways passes of Xavi.

Selling Cesc after this season would be a huge blunder.

He didn't admit United's offer. Or did I miss something? And I think I heard that he didn't bought a house in Manchester. One of his familiy members did because of a private reason but I'm not 100% sure.

He did.

Where does this house-in-Manchester stuff come from anyway? Why would he buy a house there in the first place? He loves London and Arsenal. Besides, if he was really negotiating a move there, he wouldn't buy a house beforehand. And probably the most important part, I think there's some kind of a clause in our contract with Arsenal that either prevents him from signing for other EPL teams or gives Arsenal a huge chunk of cash if he does. It's not happening. He's said multiple times that he's staying. He's only leaving if he's forced out, which he won't be.

There were rumors about arsenal having first refusal, were Cesc to be sold. We'll have to wait. Long summer ahead.

Clause : 30M , Arsenal has the first right to refuse. Suppose United bids for 40M and FCB accepts it. No matter what the offer is, Arsenal can use the right to refuse clause for 30M and buy him back.

Remember they have a right to refuse clause and not mandatory buyback clause.

Second Clause : Arsenal would get 50% of the left-over of transfer money if FCB wants to sell Cesc. Initial transfer fee was 35M ( 5 years x 7M). So if someone bids for suppose 40M , Barca accepts it , we will have to pay Arsenal 50% of 5M. (40M - 35M)

We will have to wait and see what happens. He bought the house for some reason. A Move to United is at the moment merely a speculation.

Again with the house in Manchester... If you google Fabregas buying a house in Manchester, the only result is this thread.

He doesn't need to leave he's our third best midfielder behind iniesta and busi so even if we buy someone else or rafinha tturns out to be the second coming of jesus we would still need him.

why is the option of buying another midfielder after selling him out of the question.. cuz thats what would happen. lol a more appropriate one.

Get real people... You expect Zubi to find a suitable replacement? This is the guy that brought Song to be our DM/CB. He'd probably sell Cesc and say that Xavi/Song is our signing.

His critics just do not realize this.

All those who are advocating for the demise of Cesc should provide their plan moving forward. IMO, it would be a a terrible mistake to let go of this guy.

Look guys, I do agree that the club is bigger than a player. But, one can also argue that it is the players that also define the club. If management sucks, and there is nothing we the fans can really do to change that, it is the quality of our game we all look forward to.

Sell Cesc, and you remove one token of quality. You take away something that can be used to make Barcelona special. As they old saying goes, you do not appreciate what you've got until it is gone.
