It's OK to say that this was maybe his worst performance of the season, but the haters are ridiculous. Even with a 2-month huge dip in form, he managed to rack up great stats so far. Our third best scorer and third best assister. Competing with Messi and Villa, that is Messi and Iniesta, respectively. Not an easy task. And his first part of the season was brilliant. To think some people would rather have Ozil is insulting to the Barcelona name. You have a homegrown Catalan kid who's spent 8 years bossing the EPL midfield, played a huge part in Spain's recent international success, and has had pretty good stats since he came back (regardless of several off games here and there) and you'd rather have Ozil? A German, who, I might add, is currently below Cesc both in the assist and scoring department. Not that I have anything against Germans, of course, but why would you deliberately want the foreigner if you have a (usually) equally good (sometimes better) local kid who loves Barca and took a paycut to play for the club? Ridiculous. Zero respect for club authenticity and La Masia. Lack of logic, as well.
