I'm really worried about Inter, they're my pick to win and all they were missing what a playmaker and firepower upfront, they have both now in world class form....they're midfield is physically extremely tough and wont be outdone by many teams, and their defence is brilliant tbh (apart from Matercrapzi). They also have arguably the world number 3......

Lets not forget the two other teams are going to go out to kick the shit out of us.

Damn no death groups. :(

We didn't get that hard of a group. I expect us to beat Inter home and get a draw in Milan and beat the other two teams home and away.

There is 4 death groups and 4 piss easy ( and i do mean piss easy ) groups
Chelsea-Porto-Atletico are the easiest death groups

Liverpool-Fiorentina-Lyon is another one
Our group is one L'OM (excellent reinforcements and a great coach ) AC Milan and us
Bayern Munich-Juve-Bordeaux .. second death group ..

those are the ones to watch the rest got it easy much more easier than expected.. Seville will walk their group.. same for United ,Arsenal and Barca
i think eto will score against us but our mid should totally rice their mid
by default Eto'o should score in Valdes home & away he have this nasty habit :D at least be thankful that playing Inter in the group stage disqualify you from meeting them in the first KO round
We have the hardest group in my opinion Moscow , Besiktas and Wolfsburg you would say none are major players but all will be amazingly difficult away from home .

I see us topping the group but its not going to be easy.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
seriously.. shut up man that wasn't funny :p

Pretty ironic how Inter and Barca are in the same group, same with Real Madrid and Ac Milan aswell.

Epic games..
Eto'o and Zaltan visit each other old teams.. while Kaka and Huntelaar do the same..

more importantly with our long history of ex-players scoring at us expect Morientes (L'OM ) and Huntelaar to both score at Iker..

Anyhow i got what i wanted.. funny i had a strong feeling we will get Milan .. i was telling Meta right before the draw that we will play them and than we remembered how piss easy Milan draws were in the last couple of years.

L'OM will be tricky.. a stadium i visited a lot and i know how hard it is to play there.. L'OM has reinforced well by buying Bordeaux best defender Diwara , Lucho Gonzales and our own Heinze and Moro ..
Milan will be a great venue.. Kaka-CR-Benzema vs Dinho-Pato-Huntelaar.. it will be a very nice test for us ..

quite some interesting draws in the CL but i got what i wanted a tough draw to start preparing well for the KO rounds.. unless of course we crash early :)

Tbh with what you said about Milan, I know theres this theory that they always do well in the CL, but I'd be laughing if we had Milan, I think they are shit. They proved two years ago that they needed a total revamp, their players were too old and they needed to bring in a younger generation. Thats not happened, instead THE SAME players have just got older, they've brought in a long past his best Dinho and Huntelaar (who's not brilliant, he's ok). I see absolutely no reason to suggest they will provide a particuarly hard opponent, if anything they're weaker than before because they havent got Kaka. Theres no reason to believe Milan will shine this competition, You'll walk them, or should do anyway.

Luckily on 16 september and 20 october, so not in the deeeeeeeeeep and coooooold winter months.

I would much rather have them in the deep and cold winter months when their season has been over for 2/3 weeks and their players are all unfit than take them in the autumn while our lads are still coming into fitness and theirs are sharp as shit in their season run-in.

and beast, your group is never a death group. milan are shit and so are fc zurich. it's not easy, but it's no harder than ours, in fact I'd say ours is harder due to inter being much better than milan and, while kiev and rubin will be cannon fodder at the camp nou, the away legs of those ties will be VERY tricky.

but yeah, liverpool-lyon-fiorentina-debrecen looks very close on paper. I dunno if you can call it a "group of death" though because there's only one top team in it and they're not very good, but all the teams are on a similar level.

bayern-juve-bordeaux-haifa is much closer to a group of death as you have two top teams, plus bordeaux are better than fiorentina and haifa are better than debrecen.

but really there are no group of death in the draw.

tbh barca or real couldn't have been in a group of death coz atleti are the only really top side in pot 3 and you need 3 top sides IMO. marseille, as well as they've reinforced they're not a top side, and there's no telling how blanc and bordeaux will cope with challenging on two fronts.

united-inter-atleti-wolfsburg <-- now THAT would have been a group of death.

the most epic group of death that I can recall (off-hand) was in 1999. us, bayern, united and brondby.

last time people underestimated Milan team they won the Champions league..
they are always there in Europe... and it's foolish to drop them from the calculation ..
they can suffer in the league as it need consistency but in Europe when it's a cup format u can never ever drop them from your calculation.
they have the American and Thiago Silva i can't say how good they are now until couple of weeks in the season.. Huntelaar is Huntelaar a big addition to their very weak forward line he will score with the minimum service and Pato is awesome .. it all depend on the fatso .. If Dinho can establish himself (which i doubt ) they are a very tough team to beat
it's very clear that Real group is really tough (and tough or group of death depend on 3 teams not 4 , there is no good 4 teams in any group) L'OM is damn tricky.. Didi beat Real before with Monaco and with Moro heading his attack ..

I got what i wished for a tough group.. lets see how we take the teams bit by bit

No no no you have to look at your away games and in my eyes none are easy places to travel there is the flight the country the pitches I would say Wolfsburg will be the easiest away to be honest.

you shouldn't underestimate wolfsburg...that's what most teams did last season in the bundesliga, which ended in wolfsburg winning the league. magath formed an extremly united and well functioning team/group. the fact that magath is gone, doesn't mean that much, since the team itself didn't lose any of their top guns. instead they reinforced themself very nicely with martins, who scored two goals in two games out of two shots total.

man...milan & marseille  i can already see the ex madridistas huntelaar & morientes score!!! heinze scoring would hurt though.

all in all, some very nice games are lying ahead of us...inter vs. barca, juve vs. bayern, milan vs. real madrid...but also games like l'pool vs. lyon or fiorentina or even chelsea vs. atletico madrid are promising matches.

I think the Liverpool group is going to be extremely interesting, especially Lyon vs Liverpool. We havent yet seen how this new Lyon side is going to fare against a stronger team, and Liverpool also have something to prove (that their not shit) so its going to be a very good match. As for Chelsea vs Atletico, as much as I HATE Chelsea (Darth Vaders football team) and like Atletico, and I dont agree with the whole physical dominance factor of football....Atletico are going to get squashed, literally, by the power of Chelsea. And I mean squashed.

I reckon they'll beat us at their ground, Aguero will show us what we missed out on with a brace or something. Realistically I think we'll win at least 4 of the games, draw 1 and lose 1.
