no mate it transfer like a virus in a club with such traditions .. same thing in every club do you think CR,Rooney,Carrick ,Rio...etc are youth products for Man U ? of course they are not.
they are trained to have a winning mentality every single day .. defeats are not accepted , trophies wanted
there is no pat on the back because they slacked off ..
back to Milan.. Nesta-Gattuso-Pirlo-Ambrosini..etc the club as a whole have that from the smallest role to the president ..

Yes the difference is that Rooney, CR, Carrick, Rio etc, are NOT a bunch of ageing italians, far past it, with passion but far less ability than they need to win the CL. In fact Rooney, Ronaldo etc were arguably one of the best teams, individuals in the world. It doesnt matter how much they're trained, it didnt help them against Arsenal and they only came 3rd last season in Serie A, they needed to bring in a fresh new bunch of players and just have not done that. Nesta, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini are not the players Milan need to look to if they are going to win the CL, you cant do it on experience alone especially not when they are this age, they needed to bring in young talent and did not, instead they sold it, in gourcuff.

we play similar clubs most of the times ;) being in the CL every year and passing the group stage every single time says it all ..
something sure u can't understand .. the CL for you is a pub around the corner of your house ?

No need for that. I was only making the point that players win matches, not culture.

If culture was more important on the pitch than players, then Milan wouldn't have been in the Uefa Cup last season and Madrid would of won the league.

I'm not saying it has nothing to do with success, but players on the field are far more important in winning games.

And there is no problem with that.. he is free to support whatever he likes.. we are talking about the winning culture at BIG CLUBS which he couldn't comprehend and questioned..
.. something he can't understand normally cause he support a team that lacks the culture ..
i would have said u could understand but i know u wouldn't ..

once again instead of debating belittling....

well tbh they are the best clubs in terms of European results in the last couple of years man..
those same aging guys took the CL in 07 .. of course a big part of that go to Kaka but they could still carry themselves well among the top weights in Europe

As I say I know a lot of people will not get what Gio and I are saying and I would not expect you to either.

But the culture of a team is the vital cog in its life. It is difficult really for me to explain.

Good players combined with the correct culture wins trophies, that's what should be said.

are we confusing culture with desiree and hardwork?

i understand yea Fc Barcelona has a great culture catalunya and everything, but if in the next few years we suddenly started coming in 5th 6th 7th is our culture broken? no we need a change of coach or tactics or fresh ideas culture does not really change whether a team is good, in form, bad newcastle seem to have a gr8 culture and look where they are...

if players win matches not the culture Chelsea would have won the Champions league Ducky..
neither would one of the weakest Liverpool sides in 2005..

the strongest team not always win .. it's actually a case of rare happening to find that occurring ..
also note the winning mentality and culture doesn't mean u win every year every trophy.. it means you are always there among the greats , always competing under different generations .. no team in the world can continue to win everything every year not even the greatest Madrid side in the 50's which dominated Europe managed to win with the same manner domestically , instead they lost the league twice to Barca

I know they are, and I respect that, but Kaka WAS a major reason they won the CL last time, I dont think they would have if he wasnt in there. In 2007 players like Nesta etc still had bags of ability, despite their age. Thats gone now, they dont anymore, and they havent brought in young replacements, instead they signed Ronaldinho. I dont think that at the moment Milan can be considered one of the top weights in Europe, historywise yes, but at the moment no, they will go out in the first knockoutround imo.

Beast put it in nicely, the winning mentality of a big club beats that of a good club that's okay with a draw. If we Barca were tied or down a goal they wouldn't rest untill the final whistle even with youngster.

okay well the team i have season ticket for in Argentina has no culture, but they never give up and try to the very end no matter what, they are the hardestworking team i have ever seen,,, how do they do it without this mythical culture backing them?
