chelsea should be easy for real. they lack a striker(apart from being wank in general), can't go against madrid without a striker.

so madrid really have to focus on either city or bayern. beat that and they're guaranteed winners.

Exactly. They only really have the semi to worry about. There isn’t anyone that even stands a chance against Real Madrid in a CL final. They are way too clutch and experienced, not to mention that they have the perfect coach for those kind of games.

Their recent results have been worse than they deserved. They outcreate their opponents in most games and have a very strong defense.

Additionally they played Dortmund off the park both legs...

They are a much better team than their standings represent. It is down to Potter - if he takes Vini out of the game they go through.

Outcreate? Haven't been struggling to create chances and goals for a Long time, only recently turning it a bit around?

Will be probably be tight yes, but i cant say i fear this Chelsea side.

Several things:

1) Chelsea can cause problems to Madrid. Not that they are favorites to advance, but RM like teams like Pool who leave gaps at the back.
The aggressive midblock of Potter is harder to work out, especially for coaches that are not tactical masters line Ancelotti
of course Madrid still favorites

2) If Thomas Tuchel was still coaching Chelsea, not even 1% chance Madrid could go through

3) Luckily, the winner of City - Bayern will maul Madrid in the semi

4) Napoli- Milan is not good for Napoli. The ties against domestic sides in Europe have a different dynamic. Doesn't matter if Napoli is 100 times better team.
This will be close

5) The fraud of the CL is seen again in the draws. They are destroying the competition again by drawing best teams against each other early
You have a pairing (City Bayern) that SHOULD have been the final. And it can't be the final because KLuivert picked a certain ball
Super League can't come soon enough

Lucky? Its one of the worst draws they could get.

Lucky would be them being on the other side of the draw and napoli replacing them.

Luckiest for them would've been Milan, Inter, Benfica. The hardest would've been to meet all of the Napoli, City and Bayern. If they were on the other side of the draw in the place of Napoli they would've had a walk in the park till the final. Now they only need to beat Bayern or City to win CL once again. Napoli, if they reach the final, would be an easy prey for them in a single final match, they are too experienced to lose it against such a Napoli side.

Chelsea have only lost 1 of their 7 games vs Real Madrid in Europe. Plus they are slowly improving their form too.

It will be a close and interesting tie.

Chelsea is 10th in the Premier League table, LFC was 8th when Madrid meet them, they don't stand a chance imo, this isn't last year's Chelsea.

Chelsea now have 3 wins on the bounce though and have looked much better last couple games. Disagree about not standing a chance, Madrid of course are favourites but they are made out to be unbeatable. Leipzig and Shahktar got results of them this year. They lost 4 games last year but of course were great in clutch moments.

If Real played vs Napoli in the final, it would be a joke like Real-Valencia in 2000.
Napoli has zero experience, except winning against slow Seria A teams.
They would lose even to Barca. One of the rare teams in Europe.

Most likely.

At least Madrid is in the stacked side of the draw, with all top 4 favorites imo, if we consider Chelsea to be ahead of Napoli. Also play the return leg away.

If Chelsea make errors they are cooked though. If they keep it tight and don't shit their pants vs Madrid like EPL sides do continously for more than a year... they have a chance. Anything can happen in two games.

I see it as 60-40 for Madrid. Same as Liverpool tie really.

Liverpool looked to be scared shitless of Madrid so of course what should have been a close tie as well ended up as a blowout.

Ofc anything is possible but imo it's very unlikely that this Chelsea could trump them. Leipzig and Shahktar met Madrid in group stage if I'm not mistaking. Madrid is a different beast when in KO phase of CL.

Am of the impression that favourites against Madrid usually disappoint. Maybe Chelsea is good because they're an opponent with the combination that makes Madrid relax a little while also having that bit of quality to knock em out .
