Real had like 3 very good forward moves. City just shot at sight. Masterclass so far if you ask me.
City at the back are hardly amazing though. Was always going to be the case the top 3 best LW in the world Vinicius, Benzema (current ballon d'or holder) and Rodrygo a clutch RW would create the odd chance especially at home. I think people expecting City to steamroll Real have got the wrong idea. Not saying that's what you think btw.

Another note. 53 km ran by both teams this half. Means this is a low intensity game. City have young physical team and are making the game suitable for 38 modric and an older Kroos. Stunning
Yes, they are not upping their intensity, especially in the 1st phase of pressing, they are very lethargic.

Pep said the other day that the players he rested are very tired.
It might have to do with

Surprise surprise, Madrid raise their game as soon as the CL anthem plays, it's getting tiresome now. I guess even Perez is bored of winning CLs so wants a Super league.

City are just playing a typical first half of a first leg. Sussing out the opponent, not committing too much and trying to maintain control. Wonder goal from Vinicius and a ref that doesn't want to hand out a yellow to a serial fouler is the difference maker.
Who is the serial fouler lmao
Rüdiger literally had two tackles all half

City should considering taking out Grealish or Bernardo for Mahrez or Alvarez.

Bernardo is playing way too conservative while Real Madrid are using the same tactics against Grealish as Atletico did to make him lose his shit and do something stupid.
Grealish was ok first 20, than Carvajal got into his head - I would take off Bernardo for Mahrez, like NOW.

Gonna say it again......that shot was saveable. Yes good power but not great placement.

Ederson is the most overrated goalkeeper in the world since his shot stopping is legitimately average.

Yep just saw the replay, poor goalkeeping.

Carvajal. Clear as day he should be on a yellow at least. 4 fouls he's done. 2 tactical foul's and the shove on Grealish. Plus another typical non-carded foul.

Carvajal done been poor on ball and been fairly dirty.,

Hardly some dark arts masterclass and not doing anything amazing v Grealish.

And Bernardo should of been off for his tackle on Camavinga
It's the lenient ref more than anything else

Dias blocked Ederson's view on Vini's shot initially, not his fault but Courtois would've save it with his wingspan and fingertips
