I mean Pique, Garcia and the rest of our 2nd row defence was on a mission this season in CL. Pretty sure we will be up there next season (and United as well) looking at the current "top" teams.

Xavi chose to put out a Garcia/Pique CB pairing with Alonso and Roberto FBs and a sole Busi at DM.

FDJ should have been in midfield and Alba/Balde could both of started.. even Balde at RB to add pace.

Also Alonso could have been CB ahead of Pique... and dont even rate Alonso at CB but better than Pique.

Awful from Xavi.

Vini frightening pace. Imagine him and Mbappe together. LOL

How come Real Madrid and Barca been boring as fuck to watch all year in Liga, throw them in with Man U and Liverpool and it's a basketball game?

Tbf Barca and Real didn't have many issues with EPL opposition, over the last 15 years.

It's because La Liga is the most defensive league among the top 5 leagues. It has the least amount of pure playing time, has most of the theatrics/ref surroundings, time-wasting, shithouse, teams playing five at the back, etc. Barca's domination and Mourinho-Simeone turned the league into this with their approaches. The league doesn't want to change.

I've watched a few games and I agree with this. Teams don't even try to attack the big two anymore. Dull

You can't make this up though. Temptation bragging about Liverpool's spirit in CL and then them bottling a 2-0 lead.

La Liga barely has any decent attacking players outside top two.

Woeful stuff.

Teams lack intentsity/pace and quality.

The two best strikers in la liga are in their mid 30s. The rest are more or less EPL failures.

Yup. So many teams in LaLiga that literally go into games playing for draws. It's made worse by the total lack of resources for any team to buy quality talent, so a lot of teams are forced into defensive approaches.

Likes of Elche and Cadiz can't come out and play because they literally have nobody who can make a difference in attack. At least in EPL most of the bottom teams have quality players.
