City should have beaten Real by a cricket score at the Etihad last season but Real were ultra clinical and City weren't.

I'd favour City but Vinicius is so dangerous and there's something about the Santiago Bernabeu in CL nights.
Bernabeu on CL nights is really no different to any other stadium of a historical club on CL nights in a return leg, favours home team. Not long ago we were losing at home to Ajax by 3. And Bernabeu is first leg this time. Holding a lead ain't exactly something we're famous for

Madrid obiously can get past City despite the latter being regarded as the better team. Given their proverbial luck, the refereeing decisions always going their way when they need it the most, their fantastic spirit and incredible individual performances of some of their players like Benz, Vini, Curtois, Rodrygo.

Those are usually exceptional siutations, on normal days City should cruise past them in a two legged tie and with the return leg in Manchester this time. Had they had Haaland last season Madrid would've had no chance against them.

Really hope City will KO Madrid this time. If not there will certianly be another win of CL for Madrid.

Basically we're two or three games away from knowing the CL winners of 2023.

If Madrid get past City its time to admit Vini Jr is the best player in the world

And if they go out... they have fallen against first top team of this season they have come up against.

While losing league to a fairly average and work in progress Barca team.

Vini has not a goal or assist v Barca or Atletico in 4 games in the league nor in game against Sociedad, 1 goal in 2 games v Villareal, 1 goal in 2 v Betis.

Not been producing against the better teams in La Liga. Maybe will now title gone.

Small margins between 'best in world' and an average season really.

Funny how everyone focuses on Haaland, while it is Alvarez who turns the balance.

As for the quality gap between Madrid and City, it's huge, probably even more than last year. City is in crazy form right now, while last year they were kinda struggling to eliminate Atletico around the same time of the year.

But you know. Madrid doesn't win CLs by being better

If Madrid win CL again we need to cancel this tournament and proceed with the Super League. I won't be able to cope
They won it so often and so unjust (most of times) since 2014 that I simply don't care anymore but still hope they won't continue to win as many ofc.

No.. Haaland is far more important than Alvarez even on the game other night when Alvarez came on.

Form is temporary, anything can happen in a month's time when the semis will take place.

I see everyone discusses about the City vs Real tie but the fact is there is there a return leg where anything can happen. The return leg is on Stamford bridge which means that Chelsea will have an advantage. The reason why Real won it last season is because they always had a return leg on Bernabeu where they managed to make a comeback. This time it's different. They play away in the return leg which means they will probably play worse lose. The only question is what will be the margin imo.

Last season Chelsea had a much better team and play than today's version. Even so had Chelsea drawn Madrid in the first leg they might have had a chance but no way such a well rounded team like Madrid will lose a 2 goal lead vs. a side like this Chelsea. Madrid will likely win on Stamford Bridge too.

When Real are good... only take European football into consideration... ignore the league.
When Barca are good only take league into consideration the league and ignore Europe.

Use Real in Europe to make Barca look better... but never make Barca failing in Europe to make Real look worse then double digits behind.

Thems the rule of Jammy and the lads.

Real havent fluked anything in Europe this season they have been better than teams come up against to this point.

Bayern got more chance of turning their game around against City than Chelsea do, they don’t have any goals in them this season whatsoever.

That side of the draw is done and dusted. Really the Napoli Milan game is the only one in the balance.
