Juventus is not what people think

Motta has made them a well-driller team and hard to concede
Yea definitely but they are not that good in attack. It's probably why they draw so much.

Serie A trolls on twitter were joking about how Motta might repeat Arsenal's invincible season just to finish 5th on the table:lol: It's crazy how often they draw games, I expected one against City as well

Just about right on average this gameweek (though I have green arrows there). The expected results went my way but few of the punts did. 18 percent correct was my best outcome, thanks to @Messi983 giving me advice on Sporting. The rest didn't pan out. Most of my results were in the 90s and lowest other than Sporting game is 83 percent predicted correctly. Given I didn't get many upsets right I am surprised I have green arrows - I guess getting a lowly predicted game like the Sporting game combined with an exact helped.

You guys were right on Dortmund - Barca. Apparently it was a close game though (I only watched first half).

What's fun about current format is that it is completely impossible to predict any matchups. Madrid have gone from being outside playoff spots to having a chance of finishing top 8. Table will change drastically until last game has been played.

Yeah I am finding it harder to get points in prediction game this year, and so are most people. I think, pound for pound (as there's 64 more games this season), the prediction scores will be lower across the board in my game than in previous format. I know I am mentioning my game again but it is relevant to your claim of it being harder to predict games or even matchups in the knockout round.

However, this seems a better format overall. How do you feel about the 'part draw, part predetermined' knockout round? Do you like them sectioning it off and only doing draws between two teams next to each other in the table for the draw? Or do you feel it would be better if they just did a random draw between 9-16 and 17-24 and then 1-8 and the winners of those? The way it works now there's not going to be a draw from the quarter-finals onwards - it will all be predetermined.

Problem is there are just not enough quality teams at the bottom to make it even more interesting. It's only first season and we'll see how things will be in next years but I think it would probably be better to keep the league at 32 teams.

Last 10 clubs are basically already eliminated with two rounds to go though tbf there are teams like Leipzig (one of three teams without points alongside Young Boys and Slovan Bratislava), Girona and maybe Bologna (although they've lost Motta, Zirkzee and other players) who were expected to be more competitive.

Easy solution. I just asked Uncle Flo and he said to cut out the Bratislavas and Zagrebs, and add more EPL and Spanish sides.

The new format should be judged by summer 2027 to be fair judgement.

4 extra games on most teams, that will take a toll, add CWC, add National teams tournaments and then we will see the full effect of it.

Also, yeah, extra teams only serve "inclusion " criteria. Although, tbf, 2 of those extra 4 teams are Bologna and BVB. The extra 5th seed teams.

Yeah 32 teams would be better, More symmetrical too with a 8-8-8-8 split.

UEFA wanted more teams from bigger leagues in though.

Agree with first two paras.

Third para, the flip side of that is some smaller clubs like Brest and Brugge others have been more competitive than teams expected to do better, like Leipzig and Bologna.

Though how much is done to the random luck of the draw in terms of games, is uncertain. I'd have to look at who they've all been playing.

I am comparing teams based on who got those 4 extra spots. In 32 teams fornat, Bologna and BVB will be in Europa League. Two other spots went for smaller teams, not Brest or Brugge I think, teams in their positions always end in CL. Maybe those who usually follow qualifications could help me hete
