Hate to break it to you but in a system as obsessed with scoring goals as Flick's one, most strikers with good finishing would easily top goalscoring statistics in all competitions they play.Yet he's the problem according to the forum experts.
The RL9 witch-hunt here is the most clueless thing ever.
He has the most goals, but he probably also has the most chances served on plate for him. Lewa is living in a dream position for every striker - a team obsessed with offensive with an infinite source of creativity in likes of Lamine, Olmo, Casado, Pedri and lately Raphinha as well.
Not downplaying his achievements here at all. His goals are still a good thing and his experience in the final third is crucial to us this season. But in games where we don't dominate and don't create as many chances, he doesn't do a thing on his own.
There is still a lot more he has to give other than the goals if he wants to stay for another season. He is not the problem. If rest of the team is working well he won't be the one to hold us back. But there are younger players that would be an upgrade over him and we need to seek for them in the summer.
