If we bought those guys as starters, the likes of Serghei would talk about how we can't even expect mid table.

Because they are not going to throw the lead, they will likely win by a greater margin away.

This team and above all the manager is seriously good and they have a chance to win this year, again.

Inzaghi is arguably the best young manager on the planet right now. On the up. Will only get better.


He's so good tactically.

Atletico squad is mediocre at best, Simeone is still doing great actually considering what he is handed.

IIRC Lautaro was close to joining Barca in the summer of 2020 when the club got rid of Suarez.

With Suarez gone, Lautaro would have been a great replacement for him in the ST position.

They have a better squad now. Better attack than ours by a mile.

I think it is more down to Inzaghi maximising them, thus making them a better team.

There are a few excellent players on each line no doubt, but guys like Thuram who we could have gone for instead of Felix or 9m Inigo. Question is would Xavi have got the best out of him for example.

Probably a 2 goal margin. Atletico had some important chances too. More like a 3-1 or something.

Everyone and their dog had PTSD after the Dembele and Griezmann fiascos. That's why many didn't want to splash 100m on Lautaro.

It is basically guaranteed they go through. This is not a joke team and they are way better than Atleti, who really are lucky they managed to keep the loss small.
