It's not changing the formation, Gnegneri; it's the same formation but more compact. I think if you played against United with the more open formation you had against Chelsea, they'd over power your Midfield. That's what United like to do. But that's the interesting thing because Barcelona when they lose the ball are excellent at winning it back.
Seeing Manchester United against Barcelona last season putting 11 men behind the ball to nullify Barca's creativity made me think that in the final United are going to commit more men forward to win the game, which will leave them vulnerable at the back. That's why I think this modified 4-3-3 formation will be ideal as a counter attacking formation.
I'm also going to put a bet on Vidic getting a red card in the final. Every time he comes up against someone with pace and movement his defensive game goes awful. See what Torres did to him at Old Trafford? Gerrard too? If you get at United they won't like it. High tempo from the first whistle. I feel that's everything Barca need to win this game aswell as the creativity and flair they already possess.

is about as glib and sweeping statementish as the nonsense above.
one "lucky" result from 3 big punts downfield on a day when the defence had it's worst day in 5 years.
if this is true,please cite 2 or 3 more occasions THIS SEASON where we've "struggled" due to the new unknown skill and ability that torres and stevie mee have,i think you called it pace
,i can't remember because it's such a new fangled invention that rafa has invented.....that and twatting it as far as you can and feeding off scraps,kind of like wimbledon back in the day,only with 1 or 2 slightly better footballers.

if someone with pace and skill gets at vidic, he struggles. this has always been the case. milan baros always used to run him ragged. don't forget vidic didn't play either leg of the semi-final last year.
every time torres has faced united previously he's gone against rio who's had him in his pocket. for the first time in ages he attacked vidic instead and exposed his hesitancy.
so I can see messi being played central to get at vidic. but he'll be well protected by anderson and carrick, so I don't know how much space there will be to expose him.
rio (best defender in the world) will have to have a great game.

It's funny you should say that. Did you see your boys against Arsenal the other night? Ronaldo on the half way line and the other ten players behind the ball? You were trying to defend a one goal lead and got two lucky breaks. But still, considering you won 3-1 it proves that launching the ball forward does work.
How many goals have United scored this season aswell? If lump the ball forward and feed off scraps it must mean all the goals we scored this season are just lucky bounces our way. I find that hard to believe.
Vidic is fucking awful. Him being good in the air is a myth because if we were lumping the ball forward that day, how come the arguably "best centre half in the Premiership" not win anything in the air?
I thought so. Zonal marking always comes under scrutiny when we concede from corners. Man marking should come under scrutiny too because of that dog of a player's shite movement can seem to get him goals. That's luck.

Without Ronaldo, they would be the same as chelsea imo.
They played more or less the same as chelsea against arsenal (except for the first twenty minutes in the first leg, they had a superior drive forward) loads of players behind the ball and hoping that ronaldo does something cool with it.
