I havent seen penalty shoot out for Barca recently anytime..Any idea who the 5 takers might be??

Messi, E2 , Henry , Xavi(?),Puyol(?)??or Bojan?

it's difficult to predict penalty takers really isn't it cos you've got no idea who'll even be on the pitch after the 120 mins.

pick a corner - eyes closed - blam - cross fingers goalie hasn't dive the right way :D

Its not because we dont know who will be on the pitch..Its because we havent seen this team in a penalty shoot out !

i know that but was just saying that none of us could pick based on anything more than who we'd like to take them in an ideal situation.

If there is a penalty shoot-out, I think our shooters will be: Messi, Eto, Henry, Xavi, Iniesta.

Toure and Bojan look like good shooters as well.

ManUre will be too frightened to play football against us like last year in the semi's, this will be a boring 1-0 affair with United relying on a set-piece or a counter attack move. Remember in England, winning is everything, results is all that matter.

(Without any fullbacks and a CB we are fucked anyway).

Imagine Pinto coming on and doing the "I'll jump this way" routine on Ronaldo. That would be epic.

see, that's where i think your preconceptions are wrong.

i see us as being a fair hybrid of yourselves and chelsea, and there's nothing wrong at all in being good at both attacking AND defending.

surely choosing which way to play in the biggest games,is almost as important as putting your plan into action..?

there's more than one way to skin a cat and all that and if you limit your squad options to only have one way of playing (through choice or not) then you're surely lessening your chances of winning.

also, look at arsenal, plan A and that's it,but in the 05 fa cup final, not one shot on target, and they still won the trophy.

i think you know we're pretty good, and may well decide not to open up against you,but we're probably one of the only clubs in england where style does matter.

and by 1-0 from a set piece, did you mean as a for instance - 1-0 Wembley 20/5/92 ?

You must remember, you're seeing it from an EPL fan's point of view. I follow both leagues, live in the UK but was brought up by Brasilians and Spaniards so I can appreciate differences, Spanish football is a totally different culture. In Spain it's like the theater - you go to be entertained and watch the most graceful, beautiful football. There's so much more emphasis on style and emotion. Take madrid - 18 games unbeaten, but they were still jeered every match for the tepid, boring shite they put on display. In England it is definately results driven, doesn't matter how you win as long as you win. This doesn't mean Spanish fans are worse or more fickle, look at Bilbao's fans in the Copa final. They are just definately different cultures. Talk to any Chelsea fan or go on forums and you'll see the attitude -"Fuck your pretty football". That's just not how it works here. The only clubs that are an exception are Arsenal and you guys, but Arsenal are a massive joke and while they preach stylistic, beautiful football actually seeing it is another thing. But I agree United is the club that plays with the most style in Englamd, one of the reasons i watch United more closely than others.

:D Good answer. Although that proves my point exactly. This was Barca's first CL win and they were consumed by fear, the result was everything and that contributed to a terrible game (great result mind). I just think that teams owe it to the supporters to go out and entertain, that is what football is....ENTERTAINMENT. It is not about results, that should be the icing on the cake. Football should be an expression of the culture of your city/region. If you are happy to fund the wages of your players and accept that shit style of football that get's churned out week in and week out in the EPL then fair enough, it is your choice.

I have to say though, that I do agree with you that Man Utd do try and play the game properly and that is why I would be gutted if you just played for the result rather than for the people. You should win anyway, so why not try and win with style?
