If all our players were fit and not suspended i'd be confident. Right now missing 3 of our first choice back 4, and two of our best players in Iniesta and Henry likely not to be 100% I can't see us winning.
Though I hope we do as the Brit press will completely ignore the injury problems we had at the back and two of our best players not being 100% if they win. It will be weeks and weeks of "United thumped Barça" even if they only win 1-0...Though tbh absences can be strange. We'll miss Alves' overlapping runs but if Puyol is at right back he wont leave the gaps that Alves does behind him for Utd to exploit on the counter. Plus on many ocassions players being out can have a galvanizing effect on the rest of the team.
Having the benefit of reading both the Spanish and English press the English press is definitely bigging up Utd more than the Spanish press is Barça. The Spanish press drew humorous cartoons, but that was mainly because Ferguson said it'd be an open game, whilst Hiddink said the same, so they drew Ferguson and Van der Sar parking a bus. The English press however dedicates pages and pages of pundit articles to ripping on everything to do with our club, even posting stories about Laporta's incident at the airport a couple years back...one even accusing Guardiola of being a drugs cheat despite him being cleared of all those charges...
TBH it will probably be closer than either set of fans would like it to be, and definitely closer than the English press expect it to be.
