you can't be over-rated winning your league three seasons in a row and back to back champions league final
i won't argue. I said it for fun. BUT to reply on your statement:
what is overrated? Thinking a team is better than it really is. Divinity measures f.e. sometimes. It's not because a team wins everything they can compete with dream teams. So winning things means they were the best in that period but perhaps still worth nothing in broather time.

But hey Man u is a nice team but there is a reason some people like other teams..other filosophy. f.e. EPL players like ronaldo,gerard,essien...etc they score nice goals but all so standard and boring. Then u have other filosophy of football: majestic things, innovative things. Ronaldinho,Messi,Rivaldo,Romario,LNDL Ronaldo,zidane...majestic play. When the likes of Gerard & co wins FifaWPOTYear it means it was a bad year. Don't get me wrong Gerard & co are world class but working horses who bring nothing new to the game. Ronaldinho could decide a game anytime aginst no matter who. Those kind of players are worth watching.
That's the reason why i watch FCB f.e. and no more EPL (instead of some highlights here and then or in Europe)

United are the best team in the world until someone proves otherwise. Barça have a chance to do just that next Wednesday.

For me this is a dream final. The best of Spain vs. best of England… La Liga vs. BPL, what more could a football fan like me ask for. However, I am the first one to admit that this is a tricky game for Barca. Historically, Barca has been underperforming in this competition since 1956. It was not until 1992 that the first ever CL trophy was brought home to Camp Nou. And it took another 14 years for the second CL to come along. Before this year, Barca has been to a CL final a total of 5 times.

Man U did not fare any better either but one good thing going for them is that, they have matched the number of CL titles they won with their appearance in the finals. Making it an impressive 3 out of 3 for them! One title more than Barca…

SAF vs. Pep :pep: - I have great respect for Fergie so advantage Man U.

Attack - Messi, Etoo/Bojan, & Henry… it’s a no brainer, advantage Barca.

Midfield – This is where the game could be won. True Man U has one of the best and talented MF around but Barca’s midfielders are second to none. Lead by Xavi, Barca’s intelligent maestro along with Iniesta’s ingenuity plus Yaya’s strength, what a combo! This line up is by no means absolute but is subject to change as the need arises. Indeed, Barca’s MF could prove a handful for Man U.

Defense – This is where Man U has a distinct advantage. I am sure SAF will field an unforgiving defense to counter Barca’s attacks. It doesn’t help that Barca have a couple of suspensions in defense. But this is the Finals, Barca just have to scrape through defense. Admittedly, defense is Barca’s weakness in this match. This is where Puyol’s leadership would come in.

This is a big stage where we will know once and for all who is the BEST player between Messi and C. Ronaldo. (Come on Leo!!!) The moment of truth the whole world is waiting for all this time.

I expect that both teams will play open/attacking football in this final for the sake of the fans. There is no doubting Pep’s devotion to this philosophy, it’s Barca’s brand of football after all. But Fergie’s (philosophy) is suspect judging from last year’s CL semis. I hope I am wrong on this one.

Finally, I firmly believe the team who will make the least mistakes will win it. IF Barca’s attack fires in all cylinders, I don’t see why we will not succeed.

I agree MJ! I doubt anyone will say Barça's defense is better than United's. I believe we will own the ball & that Xavi & Iniesta will run the show from midfield. Both sides are very strong going forward but I'm sure we're stronger in that area, although their defense will be hard to open up...
