Not an accident, this is just what Inter does, look "good" while failing to get a result is what they usually do in Europe.

What you wrote is pure superstition.
There is no 'law' about how a team plays over decades, changing coaches players and everything all that time.

This Inter is better than last 2 years under Conte, and better than all Inters we have seen since Mourinho

Maybe...but 0 goals against Real over 2 legs. And Real is not all that either.

Didn't say it was a "law", nor is it in any way "superstition" to point out that they have a habbit of doing this in recent years, because they do.

Yeah, I know Liverpool won on xG,
that doesn't mean they were better in all the spells of the game. Inter failed to find the final pass when they broke in good numbers.

I demarcated the spells of the game above. Liverpool were better only after the triple sub.
And of course, it's a luxury to have Henderson Keita and Diaz on your bench to throw in, and change the course of the game.

Didn't say it was a "law", nor is it in any way "superstition" to point out that they have a habbit of doing this in recent years, because they do.

When you say 'that's what happens always with Inter' it sounds like that.
And what do you mean by 'habit'?
Didn't they not try to win the game?

There is so much irrationalism around these things, labelling certain clubs certain way.
Don't exacerbate it

Overall,

Inter today showed that they are certainly among the top 8 teams in Europe, and unlucky to get drawn against Liverpool so early

I think the 8 best teams in Europe this season are:
City
Liverpool
Chelsea
Bayern
Ajax
Real
Inter
PSG

Unfortunately, 2 of them (Inter and one of PSG Real) will be out of the QF

But out of those 8 they are the weakest though.

There is no way PSG are below the likes of RM, after soundly dominating RM yesterday.

They're easily the 5th best team in Europe at the moment, with the possibility of moving into the 3/4 spots if their front 3 ever clicks. Liverpool and City probably too good for even their best level.

PSG dominated RM yesterday, OK
Will they dominate in the return leg? We don't know
Are they a better team overall this season? Hell NO

and then:
Are you sure they can dominate Ajax for instance?
No, you are not
irrespective of what you will reply (you might be biased about it due to your emotional bond with Messi)

So, no it doesn't work that simplistically

PSG are leading the league by 13 points and beat MC 2-0 in the group stage. RM lead LaLiga by 4 points and lost to Sheriff in the group stages.

Think the narrative about them being bad this season is reactionary and not objective. Yes Messi-Mbappe-Neymar isn't proving a crazy duo that will crush every team in the world, but they are on track for their objectives and just played a great game vs Real.

Last season they didn't even win the league so there you go.
