Champions League

So if Real aren't a physically stronger team.... but they've won it 4 times in the last 5 years.... and we've won it the other time.... why do you keep going on about needing to be physical in the Champions League.

1. Real lost Zidane
2. Real lost CR7
3. Real lost goals in the last 10 minutes from CR7
4. Real lost a part of their attacking options with goals with feet and headers (CR7 and Benzema), they are attacking through the ground now and can't score shit.

But anyway, after reading DonAk's and similar posts, I see that a climate here is currently: this win is a prove that TikiTaka works, and of course, De Jong-Arthur-Alena is the way to go in the next season.
So, why bother?

I am really not interested in these crazy fights tonight. Good night guys, lol.

But as i said, we tried possession-football, it was an epic failure.

You tried to for a couple of months. We've been playing it and perfecting it for decades, during which we've reached the absolute top of it. That's the difference.

Benzema is still there and Zidane wasn't out on the field playing football. It's literally the same team minus Cristiano. So when did they cease to be a physical team and the ideal stalwart team you talked about the last three years?

Did that all fall apart when one player left?

Let's have this discussion then.

And I obviously never said, as usual you're putting words in my mouth.

So what happened to our physical workhorse team vs Roma last season? Will you even mention that or are you just going to ignore it if it doesn't suit your narrative?

BBZ clearly is wrong in attributing things like drive and motivation, which are socio-human factors, to basic things like physicality and muscle.

Madrid are a shot team in terms of motivation. This is why they are done.

thats what i meant.. guy is just strolling around most of the games

What did you mean? You're fine mostly because he's still here and walks the league in light of no competition. It's seriously going to be an unprecedented void for La Liga when he decides it's time. You'll not recover with Coutinhos or whoever else. Not one player in Europe has that degree of regularity, nor is there one coming up. Genuinely, this will be 10x worse for Barca in 5-10 years time.

And the reason Barca are unable to succeed with any resemblance of possesion based football is because half this team is unable to press or move off the ball. Unless you sort those issues out it will never work under any manager.

There are still other ways to play though without being overly defensive or just boring and failing.

It's obvious this team is in much worse shape. Kroos, Casemiro looking like amateurs, Modrić aging on top of being worn out, without a true leader in Ramos (we know how that feels like) - and toothless. Struggling to score against most opponents.

Takes nothing from Ajax though. I didn't believe they'd make it. I was sure they were going out. Congrats! Once again.

Only Messi and sometimes Suarez are lost cases in this laziness.

Rest of the players move rather well lately.

And there's also the Valverde issue.

Get Suarez and Messi to work harder to help the team and we'll have a shot against anyone in CL.

Perhaps you should join a Facebook group with the other intellectuals here like yourself and leave the rest of the simpletons on this forum alone?

Talk about struggling with a superiority complex.

These two read together are fun.

See, You just don’t get it.
He comes here to hear others repeats narratives he already approves of.
Reading narratives that don’t match his narratives, TRIGGERS him.
It’s not something unique to him, Quite the common theme in this place.

are you referring to bbz?
