When you let speedy guy run into you 1vs1, of course.

Yeah, but he lacks the speed to make a recovery after being beaten 1v1. That’s why I kinda wanted a CB for once with some pace. Varane, VvD etc. catch back up with those kind of players many times after being beaten.

Ajax can beat anyone. They are legit great.

They cant beat Barca in a final.
This is how the story goes, when it really matters, experience and history counts.
Barca knows all about playing finals, Ajax will play some eye-catching football, but they wont have what it takes to beat Barca, and lose by a couple of goals in the end.

History as shown that this is the outcome the vast majority of the times.
Actually, i would give Barca roughly 90% chance of winning that match.

Ajax is incredible. And they keep getting better and better. Today they looked like vintage Pep's Barca minus Messi. Feel sad that we and other big clubs will steal their great young players that will yet again throw them back couple of magnitudes while making fuck all of an impact on our impotent play.

I actually think Spurs have a chance of getting through. Had that Neres shot gone in Ajax would have been through but I can see Spurs winning 2-1.

We should not only get De Jong but their manager too.

If Ajax - Barca was the semi final, Ajax wouldn't have a chance. But in one game everything is possible.
And Ajax play their best football against footballing sides.

Ajax won’t win against Barca. The team is technically superior, more experienced and Ajax is still chasing the league win.

If we reach the final, we will win it. Ajax is a very good team but we have answers for the type of football they are playing.

For me, Liverpool is the real final.

For the first 30 minutes they looked very good but for the last 60 they were terrible. They were playing very direct, couldn't hold the ball and misplacing passes all over the place for most of that 60. I'm sure they will be better in the second leg. Maybe taking a week off didn't suit that young team

ajax is a delight to watch (or rather--a de ligt). commentators kept saying that they might as well be wearing barca jerseys but i think that is a complement we dont deserve since we havent played possession football since luis enrique

We still play alot of possession football. Not as much as under pep but we definitely still do. We're you really impressed with Ajax for the whole game tonight? They were only good for the first 30. After that they played direct, kept losing the ball and kept misplacing passes. They are definitely a very good team to watch but didn't show it for most of this game. I'm sure they'll play better for longer next week

Most outsiders who don't follow Barca closely still feel that we play like we used to back then and not many know how far we are from our identity.

This kind of help in at least having a positive brand image in the market, just like people still believe german cars are superior because they once used to be.

few teams can play one-touch passes among ALL team players, but Ajax can (at least for 30 minutes), Man City can and Barça can (if we want).
As to the Spurs match, we should not forget that they played without Harry Kane and Son, their best goal scorers. With Son back next week, the result may change. It's not over yet, but as Barça fans we should root for Ajax.
