They struggled v a declined AM. Mane, Firmino, Salah are a bit glass chinned when the going gets tough. I think Milito and Eto'o can counter them. Inter's back line and midfield was saavy as hell and Sneidjer's level was amazing in the latter half of the season. He would run the midfield.

Yea, but even the great teams struggle. Should I remind you of the suffering we took on Stanford Bridge in 2009? We were so close to be out several times in that match until that crazy goal.

Grimaldo is not good enough and always injured.

Not even close. You must be thinking of Grimaldo when he was back at Barca B, and even then the potential was always there, crystal clear to see. But since his time at Benfica he's taken his game to new, first team heights and even more importantly, shaken off his injuries too. For someone saying he's always injured, I'm sorry, but it's clear he hasn't watched the guy in years.

I'd say this Liverpool side is better than that 2011 United, but not sure about 2008-09 United with Cristiano Ronaldo in there.

Yeah, I see that. All I'm saying is my benchmark for all time great status in CL is a landmark win against top tier opposition. Pool got that in name by coming back from 0-3 vs us. but let's be honest, we were dire and Barcelona in name only.

Maybe they'll prove me wrong as soon as in the next 2-3 weeks v AM.

Grimlado is not all that great hence why he is still there.

Very good set pieces and attacking full backs thrive in Portugal. Very doubtful Pep or any big club come in for him again this summer.

Yea, actually, I can agree with that, they do lack landmark wins against top tier European teams. AM is gonna be a big test for them, in a type of situation that is somewhat new for them.

Danilo and Semedo were dominant in Portugal too, and both have been underwhelming since they moved. Not to forget Coentrao.

Grimaldo surely would have played for a better team with the dearth of FB talent in Europe right now, if he really was as good as hyped. Maybe I'm too harsh, but that is something to think about.
