Only because they tap up players of Lewa and Goretzka's quality on the free from their German farm clubs.

Yeah.

When they can't do that they have to do like everyone else and pay 80 for Lucas Hernandez (a very good player before his injuries).

They are still cunning though. They snatched traitor Kouassi before he even got professional with us.

I want you guys to look at Perisic. Just a normal, hard working, not overly talented player. Look how well he plays and how he contributes just like the other players of Bayern. Bottom line is you don't need stars. Over half the team can be made with regular good players who work hard and are fit, and ply well with the instructions of the manager.

I bet if we wanted to sign Perisic a lot of people would've moaned and said he is a shit player. He's nearly 32 years old btw.

Bayern have a very different culture to the likes of Barca and Madrid. They like to emphasize teamwork over individual star power.

Look at their 2013 team for example. You'll have a hard time naming the best player on that team. They don't like being carried by a single Messi/Ronaldo type player.

Even Lewandowski is not a player the entire team revolves around in that vein.

They're willing to use players that aren't necessarily star names if it is to the benefit of the team. They value a cohesive team over having the best individual player in each position.

Robben and Ribery were clearly the stars of that team.

Bayern did loan Dortmund some money when they had debt issues so they're not all bad

These Bayern side could even become more dominant with Sane joining them.

Davies - Sane on one side, Kimmich - Gnabry on the other side. Lewandowski in the middle. Damn.

Could be that Kimmich moves back to the midfield once Thiago is gone.

Yeah especially Thiago is very important for them. Still dont understand why Pep sold Sane as City played stronger football with him on the pitch. Against Lyon a fast Sane with insane passing could have been helpful.

Sane wanted to leave, he was homesick and tired of England living style. And Pep is gone after this season, so he didnt care

If PSG ends up winning, at least i can be happy for Navas, so there is that.
At least one upside to PSG winning, even if there is basically nothing else.

Wasn't Neuer the most expensive Bayern player in the starting 11 at under 30 million tonight?

Most of the players weren't even signings that most top clubs would normally make

Neuer - 30m, been the best keeper in the world when he was signed, only United competed for his signing but they settled for De Gea
Davies- 10m, from an MLS team and wasn't even a leftback, Barca was interested but ruled him out because "a Canadian can't possibly be good"
Alaba - 0m, Youth Academy
Boateng - 13m, ManCity reject
Kimmich - 8m, signed from the 2nd division
Thiago - 25m, Barca reject
Goretzka - 0m, talented but almost noone showed any real interest
Gnabry - 8m, Arsenal and West Brom reject
M?ller - 0m, Youth Academy
Perisic - 5m Loan, Inter reject
Coman - 28m, Juve and PSG reject
Lewandowsi - 0m, worldclass at Dortmund, many clubs showed interest but noone really offered Bayerns wages.

With the exception of Lewandowski and Neuer even Wolverhampton could've gathered such a squad and at those prices especially. The Sane signing was probably the most out-of-character signing they made in years.

That is a lie about Barca ruling out Davies as Canadian. They were trying to sign him.

Thiago was not a 'reject' at all.

Goretzka would have had a lot of options.

Arsenal wanted to keep Gnabry so not a 'reject'

Signing those players for cheap is impressive enough without embelishing it with nonsense.
