Credit to Florentino for building a side that's tailor made for CLs.

Fast and aggressive CBs...who are great in the air.

Balanced midfield - not creative enough to put on a show but industrious and savvy and sometimes cynical

Forwards who are a good mix of technique and power and can score from all opportunities (much less true now with CR7 and Bale gone but still...)

GK like Navas in their heyday

And a little Algerian black magic on top of that. Their cross and inshallah is like the rain 3s in NBA revolution...it pays dividends in the CL

Nah. Long gone are the days when Madrid go through being the worse side. If they somehow get an easy draw in the QF (Porto or Dortmund) they're out in the semis.

This.

We do way worse the easier the opponent is than when they?re better than us. I think usually it?s to do with the latter being a bit insecure when facing this team that won so much despite being rather poor by comparison now, while most of the new strong teams haven?t been validated at the top level.

Nah fuck Real Madrid lol

In a tough spot here. Don't want Bayern to win. Don't want Liverpool to win. Don't want PSG to win. Who's left? Man City I guess?

Chelsea or Atleti.

They just need a tall striker who can head the ball, then they are perfect :boss:

Yeah, after putting significant effort into it, contemplating about possibilities, and imagining worst case scenario... I concluded I didn't fancy anyone left in the competition.

But in my irrational (and futile) resistance against sheikhs' money changing the old order, Ancien Regime, I look the other way and #MiaSanMia.

Chelsea are pathetic, no sportsmanship at all, hope they get embarrassed in the CL. Both City and L'pool played their home matches on neutral venues because their opponents also played there. Atleti had to play on a neutral, but Chelsea will play in London.

This is so dumb, you dont root for rivals in CL, just because it may benefit you in the league(it may very well not, btw).
Im happy Barca went out, and i hope Atletico gets knocked out today.

would be good for barca as atletico will be more tired in the league matches and lets be honest atletico has no chance to win it.

Dumb? Not at all. Atletico is a rival in the league but not a rival like you guys to us that we root against at all times. If they pull a comeback it is good news for us in the league and also good for La Liga overall as a league. Of course I am rooting for them today.

One more thing Morten, if Atletico advances you guys will take less money from the CL as you won’t be the only Spanish team left (otherwise you will take home more money like we did a couple of seasons ago). For that reason alone I will root for Atletico. ;) I will root for anything that goes against the interest of Real Madrid.

Atletico can really play when they want to. Looks like the negativity of simeone in the first leg will be their undoing again
