We are a shitty that's the only one in football history to win the 6 titles and that amazed everyone in this century, I can cope with that :)

Also, you need to refrain from shitting over Barça .. it's annoying .. on a barça forum.

Apparently, no one understood the joke.

Hey Morton, why so salty?

Nope, this guy said semis are for losers and only winning the cl is good enough.Given that, all the teams out there are losers the vast majority of the time. Shit teams. Or maybe not quite true?

Your definition of how many times you have to win cl in a certain period is not the same as most sane persons though.1 in 12 is shit, so is 2 in the same period. So, yes, of course you are a shit team. Same goes for the rest. Because as you said, semifinals are for losers, your team is by that definition a loser team/shit team.

You are not that clever are you?

I never said that a semifinal appearance is a bad achievement. I am just saying that you won't find big clubs collecting them and taking pride in them. Only losers do that. All that matters for the traditional European powerhouses is winning the trophy.

FCB has had the best CL record for the past 25 years along with ACM and RM. What the hell are you talking about?

I was just jesting. :D

But yes, winning the cup is not the only mark of a great team.

Well, forgive me for the assumption that calling teams who doesnt win the cl for losers somehow didnt mean bad achievement. Its fun to laugh about Chelsea today, i cant understand laughing about their overall CL-record since Roman. Few teams have been as good in the cl during that time.

I thought that it was pretty clear what I meant when I wrote that nobody collects semifinal appearances. Or maybe you really believe that traditional European powerhouses such as FCB, RM, Bayern München, AC Milan, Liverpool etc. are content with semifinal appearances rather than CL victories?

I don't know if any of those clubs above collect quarterfinals, semifinals or CL-final defeats.

Chelsea's record in the CL for the past 12 seasons is indeed good but only victories count and on paper they have been as successful as Liverpool, Porto and Inter for the past 12 years on this front.

For a club that proclaimed 10 years ago that they wanted to become the best club today, I find that especially funny indeed.

Besides I dislike that club like most barcelonistas do.

It's not a poor record of course, the problem is the media and themselves making Chelsea out to be the best team in the world, it's as if tomorrow Netherlands started boasting about being the best team in the world .. they have a great record, but nothing to show for it !

You have a point. Every big club is dissapointed when they go out in a semi or lose the final, its only natural. Though this season i will make an exception, if Real even gets close to a semi its enough this season, anything more is a bonus.Anyway, i doubt very much that Chelsea alone has proclaimed they want to be the best in the world. All the big clubs does that every season, one way or another.

Basically this. Mourinho's old club, FC Porto, has been as successful in the CL in terms of trophies won in the past 12 years as Chelski. For all I care they can brag about all their semifinal appearances. Nobody outside of their fans give that much of a value.

Did we (FCB) not reach the semifinal stages of the CL 6 seasons in a row from 2007 until 2013? How many opposing fans remember that? A handful at most. All they remember are the two triumphs in 2009 and 2011.

I swear to God (if he exists) that I read many years ago that Kenyon or some other Chelsea official had proclaimed that Chelsea would be the best team currently. It was a statement proclaimed 10-8 years ago. Look at all the money that Abramovich has "invested" in.

Not an unexpected result tbh. Given our form since late December I lost the confidence I once had about progressing well in the CL. Lucky in the EPL City are shitty so we don't even need to worry about being that good, they'll eventually shoot themselves in the foot again. We need a bigger squad and more rotation happening for next season though, or trust in some of the younger players and give them a few games.
