Antonio Conte has prioritised signing Arturo Vidal above Christian Eriksen. Inter have been heavily linked with the Danish international, but the Italian outlet are reporting Conte sees Vidal as a better option.
Oh, if only someone on this Board had a brain:
Vidal ---> Inter 20M
Eriksen ---> Barca 20M
Instead it's gonna be Eriksen ---> Inter 20M and Olmo ---> Barca 40M. Right now, we should just let the kid go for big money to Chelsea or United, who also want him, and Dinamo ZG know this, and since PL teams are involved, they're gonna keep holding out, hoping they can start a bidding war as the transfer window progresses, and Olmo himself is also valued the highest he's ever been right now. We shouldn't fall for it and get involved in this bidding war with the PL teams, as Olmo is not a player, worth all the fuss (yet). We can always bring him in a few years if he performs well in the PL, or even if he flops, if we still like him by then, he'll at least be cheaper in that case.
And we can't afford to be wasteful or get involved in bidding wars right now, before the summer we need to be smart, look for and take as many cut price deals as possible (on players, who are actually worth it too of course), and save as much money as possible until the summer to invest properly in other areas of the pitch (new CB or even two, possibly a new RB, a new #9, maybe even a new LW). So take the cut price deal, where you can get it, especially cause this one also might be the best one available on the market right now, and get a proven world class performer in Eriksen, who would for sure jump at the first chance to join us, and take care of the midfield for a lot less money we normally would.
As for Eriksen himself, if either Madrid or Barca make a move for him, I think he'll say yes to the first offer that comes his way, because he knows it's either that, or settle for Inter or some other club of similar stature, which would actually be a step down from Spurs (I guess Juve would be the only other club who wouldn't be a step down, but honestly it wouldn't be a step up either, especially since he's used to playing a tough league for years now). And he didn't refuse to sign a new deal with them for 2 years now (I suspect he's been planning this since 2018 at least) for a step down like this, especially when it's his last real chance of a BIG transfer, he knows he won't ever get a better deal than he can right now, since once he reaches 30, it's a whole other ball game, but not just in terms of a pay day, but also in terms of quality of a club. And Barca (and Madrid) have been his top two choices for a while now, he always wanted to play for one of them at some point in his career, there were news about this back in 2018 already, and that's why I think he always intended to refuse any extension at Spurs and hope either Barca or Madrid come for him, even if it does take for him to run his contract with Spurs down till the end, like he's seemingly gonna do now.
